Alex came back the next morning with Julian.
They both looked exhausted. Alex's shirt was wrinkled, and Julian's eyes were red.
"What happened?" Izzy asked.
Julian set a folder on the table beside her bed. "I showed Alex the therapy records last night."
"And?"
Alex sat down heavily. "And we need to talk about my mother."

"The records show Morrison documenting concerns about Vivienne's behavior," Alex said. "Notes about inappropriate involvement in Lila's treatment. Questions about whether Lila was being emotionally manipulated."
