Where the thinking begins

Pauline stares at her alarm as she stretched to put it off, she probably wasn't sleeping at all. Her mind has been so occupied lately since she learnt her male bestfriend blocked her after hearing about her past from a trusted friend who obviously snitched on her.

She felt like the world was crashing down on only her, the only person that saw eye to eye with her and had ever showed her true love excluding the s****l part was gone from her side overnight. As a 200 level physics student of the great University of Ilorin, she had to forget her worries and focus on the the stress and life ahead of her for that day.

She stood up from her bed feeling all heavy due to the sleepless night she had last night but what can she do? She greeted her roomates as she lived in a private hostel, room of 4 in the school premises, which she felt was the best for her, since it made it easy to get to classes without spending a lot of money regarding the present economy of the country. She dragged herself to the bathroom and had a quick clean shower as she had no strength to stress herself since she had a day filled with it ahead already.

She got out of the bathroom, did her skincare routine. Picked a pink top and a blue baggy jean to wear from her wardrobe which she shared with one of her roommate, Aisha; a Muslim 200 level art student. She dressed up, didn't bother eating, packed her stuffs into her tote bag and dashed out without saying goodbye to any of her roommates.

Dennis, a 200 level law student,laid in his bed trying to rap his head around the fact that a 18 year old lady was once a prostitute, not just any lady, someone he loved and was looking forward to making her his girlfriend, and that lady happened to be Pauline. He stared at the messages he received from Gloria, Pauline's so called friend. He couldn't help but mutter this words " this is very unbelievable ". He also wasn't cool with the fact that a friend could actually be such a snitch, but was to dumbfounded to even give a response. He went back to stare at Pauline's page which he already blocked and instantly he felt a guilt for taking such action without enquiring from her. He went to his chatbox setting to unblock her when he received a message that they had a class to attend that morning, impromptu class they call it. He immediately put off his phone, got dressed and dashed out hurriedly out of his self contained room which he shared with her friend, Duke, but luckily for him, Duke's parents lived not far at all, so he was always at home making it look like Dennis was the only one in the room.

Gloria sighted Pauline heading to the lecture hall where they are supposed to have the first class for the day. She stared at her with such disdain and jealousy. She has always been jealous of Pauline all because she waa closer to Dennis. She liked Dennis, yes and was obssessed to the point she didn't destroying a long time friendship and a long time love.

She said to Bimpe, a dark short student that was Gloria's friend, " see that slut coming, she still has the guts to show her stinking face to the world", Pauline's attention got caught by the thunderous laughter that erupted between Gloria and Bimpe. She knew what was on immediately but acted all cool cause Dennis had told her before blocking her that Gloria told him about her past but told him not to tell her.

Pauline been a smart girl decide to play along as a fool Gloria thought she was.

She approached Gloria and Bimpe with a wild smile on her face. Gloria on the other hand, smiled as well also acting cool, same as Bimpe. " What's up girls? Whats the gist?" Pauline asked. Gloria answered " Nahhh. its nothing serious. Something happened in our hostel and that was what we were saying.". " Ohh okay that's cool. do you know if the lecturer will be coming today cause he didn't come last week?". " He should" Bimpe answered giving Gloria an awkward smirk, Pauline noticed and decided to give them their space. "I'll be heading inside now, byeeee. See you later" Pauline said with a smile and walked inside the hall.
