*Part two*
Alex
“Okay.” She flourished.
Mr. Smith assigned us a workshop to mix chemicals to receive the color of a reaction.
“Okay class you will take what we must have the following materials for the workshop. The list of the workshop tables.” Mr. Smith explained.
“I’ll go get the experiment princess.” I smiled.
Alessandria is off her guard. I’m worried. I take objects and arrange them on our workshop table. Daniel stares at me, then precisely at her as if she was water in a desert. I wonder what progresses through his skull sometimes, then again I don’t want to analyze what goes through his sick brain. he murdered Alessandria’s parents in the accident. I sit beside her and we work in the workshop. She needs to explain something to me but can’t at least not here. I wrote on a separate sheet of paper.
‘Are you okay?’ and passed it to her. She stares at me and replies in Spanish.
“Te digo después de esta clase.”
After class? Why after class? I shot a look at Dan then back at her; she nods when she noticed I understood why. During chemistry, we watch as the chemicals change into bright hues. My angel’s face lights up when she sees the tints appear to form a rainbow.
“You’re adorable you know that hermosa.” I beamed.
“Awe Alex.” She blushed.
She cups my face and plants her soft lips drill onto mine. Her mouth on mine is the best taste in the world. She is my universe; Without her, there’s no light or happiness in my life.
Alessandria
Kissing Alex sent me so many butterflies and I adored this incredible connection I have with him. Class ended with Alex and I laughed. I knew Alex since the day he moved right next door to me. We started dating in the 8th grade and now we are here still together. It’s been eight wonderful years with Alex. I hope to share more amazing moments with him.
“What is it you need to explain to me, princess?” Alex asked.
“It’s Daniel,” I answered.
Alex peeks at me, his face boiling with the anger flaming inside me I clutched his hands and set them on my face. His eyes soften, he kisses my forehead tenderly and motions me to continue.
“He threatened me, babe. It wasn’t the usual threats.” I trembled with fear.
“What the hell did he tell you!” he shouted, releasing my face gently.
“Daniel said that I will find out what you do to women, and to leave you,” I said.
“He will get it that son of a bi-.” Alex stopped.
“Alex.” I hissed.
“Sorry, did he mention the crash?” He asked.
“No, thank God he didn’t.” I sighed.
“He better not.” He growled.
He held my hand and we stroll to see our friends at the “Chamber of Secrets.” As we wander to the alley, pain rushes to my head. Oh no, I seized Alex’s arm and tug on his arm. My eyes fluttered shut, my body leaned one way and Alex catches me. My mind plays my worst nightmare. My parent’s car bursts into flames and my mother’s head turns to me she looks directly at me and mouths the words ‘I love you’ as the flames consume my parents. I jolt out of the nurse’s bed panicking. Alex rushes from where he is sitting and pulls me in a tight embrace.
“You scared me sick to my stomach princess.” He says worriedly.
“I’m sorry.” I buried my face into his chest.
“I know my princess. It will be okay I promise.” He smiled.
“Ready to go home, babe?” He asked.
“What?” I gazed in confusion.
“You slept through the entire school day.” He answered.
“I did what!” I screeched.
“Yes beautiful, you were unconscious the whole day.” He replied sadly.
Alex had put my things in the back seat of his car when I was still in the nurse’s office. Knowing I could not walk, Alex picked me up over his shoulder and took me to his car. It was 5 in the afternoon. Alex hugged my hand as he drove us home. I typed emails on my phone to ask my teachers what I missed due to my incident. Alex and I arrived at my place. He turned off the car, got out and rushes over to open the car door for me.
The sun’s time was up and the moon’s time started. The sun brushes the sky with a bright orange with a dark, rosy pink shade. The clouds are her details and the sky is paper. Amazed at the sun’s creation I smile and sit in the middle of my lawn. Gazing at the colors in the sky, Alex sits behind me and embraces me close to him. He places his soft lips on mine; This is a perfect dream. We get up from my lawn and rush to my door; I unlock my door and push it open. We threw our bags onto the couch and walked right to the kitchen.
“What should we make, babe?” I ask smiling.
“We have pasta noodles to make Alfredo.” He says as he goes through the cabinets.
“We have chicken,” I shout while searching through the freezer.
“Great, take it out of the freezer, get a bowl, fill it with hot water, and place the chicken in the bowl.” He ordered.
“Yes, Mr. Chef.” I saluted playfully.
He chuckled softly at my remark and continued to prepare dinner. The chicken finally defrosted after several water changes. Alex and I grabbed cutting boards one for the chicken and the second one to the vegetables. Alex walked to the fridge and pulled out broccoli, garlic, and spinach. We started cutting the spinach and mincing the garlic.
Alex then said to me he will handle dinner. I smiled and went to the living room to do my homework. Alex comes into the living room and says dinner will be ready soon. We do our homework together; He helped me with a few problems in geometry. Alex and I took turns looking at the food, I drooled at the sight of food, the grilled chicken smells amazing, we smother the pasta with creamy Alfredo sauce. I stare at the food, my stomach growled uncontrollably. I feel as if the food has placed me under a spell.
Alex
Alessandria is taking a while in the kitchen, I rise from the couch to see my girl; I see her looking at the food hungrily; I smile and lift her up; she giggles as I carry her and place her on the counter. She bites her soft pink lips as she gazes into my eyes. I lean in a kiss and she pulls away teasingly; She turns off the stove, grabs the pan with the sizzling strips of chicken, and mixes it together with the steaming pasta. I grab the plates from the shelf and serve us. I place the food on the table, Alessandria grabbed a bottle of red wine and pours it into fancy glasses.
“Baby.” She blushed.
“Yes, my love.” I grinned.
“I love you, Alex. You are my world.” She beamed.
“I love you more my angel,” I said happily.
She sits down at the table; she gazes into my eyes; I sit next to her, and she cups my face and kisses me. Finishing our dinner, Aless placed the plates in the sink, and we to the living room. I turn on my Xbox and put on Netflix. We were searching for a movie when a rock smashes into the living room window. I see something attached to the rock, Aless picked it up to see what it is, it seems to be a note she dropped the note.
She looks at me with fear in her eyes. I swooped up the note to see what it said.
‘ I’m telling Alessandria everything, it’s over. try to stop me I dare you. ‘
What the hell! I have a feeling on who it was. Daniel. He won’t ruin this for me.
