“Hill had plans for Ivy, and I believe it was my fault this happened.” I had spent the last forty minutes giving Cole, Daniel, and Frank the details of what went down the night before. Mark was also in the meeting but remained quiet for most of it.
“Meaning?”
“You know what happened just before we came home. You read my file.” I glanced at Frank, who had arrived early that morning. “He knows I won’t let Brown’s murder go, not without a fight, and I won’t. I don’t know how he found me or why he chose Ivy.” Mark huffed and made us look at him. “But he’s sending me a message that he can meddle in my business.”
“You’ve got something to say?” Cole questioned Mark.
“Only that if I was worried about Ty digging into a murder that could send me away for life, I’d go after his girl, too.”
