Entangled Hearts

Prologue

You've gat to be kidding me" Charlotte said to Mia after a few mins of silence,after hearing the words she didn't even know she dreaded this much come through Mia's lips......"let's break up".

Shock is an understatement for what she felt the moment she said that to her,it felt like a dream that she hoped would end rather quickly

Deep down,she saw this coming but didn't exactly give off much thought to it,she would always push it aside, convincing herself she was probably overthinking everything,if she didn't leave here in five mins or less she was gonna break down,she knew it,she felt it and right in front of her stood Mia who did too

Every thought in Charlotte's head kept going back and forth, trying to grasp what's was going on cuz she was really thrown off. She was thinking yet she wasn't

Then it came to her head,the words that has been playing in her head for the past month...."You are gonna lose her, she'll leave and never come back" there and then she just couldn't let it happen

"No no no no....... you can't love, you can't do this okay,huh,mm....what happened mm?, did I do something,tell me what did I do huh?,I promise I'll apologise,it won't happen again, I'm sorry okay please forgive,... just don't do this mm...I love you you know I do"the last words leaving her lips as she scattered into pieces,tears rolling down her cheeks non stop

Her hands were trembling as she tried to hold onto Mia's left hand like her life depends on it cuz right now it feels like it does to her

"Nothing,you did nothing okay, I'm just... tired,I want out,now please let me go"Mia responded trying to get her hand away from Charlotte's strong yet shaky grip

"Buh u said u love me mm, those were Ur freaking words,we built a f*****g future together,you promised you would never leave me and I had nothing to worry about or to be afraid of....You said I'll always have u, you will always be by my side...is this it huh" Charlotte still entirely overwhelmed, still trying to make sense out of what was going on right now, still trying to figure out what went wrong.

For some reason whilst all this was happening,Mia couldn't bring herself to look Charlotte in the eye or look at her even,she just kept looking anywhere else Charlotte's face

"People say things when they're in love Charlotte"Her back still on Charlotte

"That's not true,no,I refuse to believe u,.... look at me.. love look at me "

Mia still didn't bulge

She didn't turn

She didn't say anything to her

She just stood there

"I want u to look at me.. look me in the eye and say u don't love me and then I'll believe u"Charlotte uttered hoping that would bring her girl back, hoping she still still loves her

A minute pass

2 minutes gone

Now 3 and Mia still isn't bulging

"Mia talk to me"Charlotte half yelled

Slowly, Mia turned, eyes shut. She heaved a sigh then opened her eyes and the words left her lips "I. DON'T. LOVE. YOU. ANYMORE. CHARLOTTE"

Charlotte's hands let go of her hand before she even realised it and Mia immediately left her footsteps receding into the dark and her shadow disappearing into it too

Leaving Charlotte standing there.....Alone

She left without turning back, without warning

Without saying... goodbye.
