Sam POV “Don’t fight it, Sophie, let the wolf come forward and take control!” I coo, trying to sound as comforting as possible. “How is she shifting?” Nathaniel asks. He was pacing back and forth beside the poor girl who was bawling on the ground, his forehead creased and his eyes were wide. I gently brushed the hair that had stuck to her forehead away and dipped my hand into the cool stream and wiped it across her forehead. “Stop pacing and help.” Nathaniel dropped to the floor and began to talk to the girl, guiding her through the first shift. I could see that his words were helping Sophie. She seemed to relax, her scrèams not as ear-popping as before. I sat back on my ass and looked over at Sophie in astonishment. This didn’t make any sense. How on earth is she shifting into a wolf
