Chapter 10
Mike slowly woke to pain and nausea. It took an eon for him to even remotely piece together what had happened.
Arrival at Maggie’s apartment, attack by two unknown men who may have been of Middle Eastern heritage, the fight…He was pretty sure he’d been tasered and then drugged. The rest was a blank. Where the hell was he now?
It looked like an automotive repair place. He was in a corner, lying on the chilly concrete floor. His hands were restrained behind his back by what was most likely duct tape. His ankles were similarly bound. Across the open space, he could see four men. Obviously the two who had attacked had buddies. They sat in a couple of folding chairs and on a pair of storage crates, drinking sodas and talking.
