Adrian’s POV:
I’d expected something else from her. A flicker of excitement, perhaps — some sign that she was happy to finally receive something different from the usual. I have given her a whole lot of things worth thousands and millions as a gift. I just want this to be a little different, and something I could think of as perfect, romantic, just the exact way I pictured it in my head this morning.
I pictured Becca in a covered, but classy dress. Definitely not something this exposed. I wanted something like the outfit Selina had on this morning.
And I thought it was going to suit Becca more.
“999 roses?”
