Preston made sure to get a seat at the table next to Scott. Just the nearness of the man soothed him. Which was the reason he’d wanted Scott along in the first place. He wanted the man with him all day, every day, but if that weren’t possible, he still wanted Scott around as much as he could. The thought of coming up here for the wedding alone just didn’t compute.
