The Last Black Dragon

The awakening

Suddenly a loud booming voice shouted," Narkon, It has been a long time since I saw you here and also Aria ."

A large stone dragon jumped on the ground that caused shock waves around him.

Narkon looked at the stone dragon and replied," Hello, Rajan, we are here to initiate this person's awakening as a dragon."

Rajan grinned and laughed," Good, we always need more of our race. I already know why and where you brought him. I have been strictly ordered by the king to wait for him. So the king can watch the awakening process because we don't have so often people awakening with unknown origin. This awakening intrigues the king."

Aria replied," My father is headed his way here. So you don't have to worry Rajan. You can prepare for the awakening. We can start when my father gets here.

Rajan nodded and said," Ok, I will get the awakening ready and by the way, beware of the rock."

Rajan turned his body around. A rock size of elephant appeared and shot out behind him and hurtled towards John, Aria, and Narkon. John ducked to avoid getting hit by the rock. Aria and Narkon sidestep the huge rock and the rock harmlessly hit the side of the arena.

Aria yelled in fright," Watch it with the rocks you unintentionally make! This is why stone dragons are ordered to avoid fancy establishments because they would wreck the place."

Note: stone dragons can't help but make big rocks that throw themselves at buildings and so the houses of stone dragons are built to withstand the damage and other dragons shy away from allowing them into their establishment when the stone dragons are transformed into their dragon forms.

Rajan blew a puff of smoke and retorted," Calm your wits, I was just joking." Rajan transformed into a humanoid form and started casting magic that formed a circle.

An hour passed, a tall, broad man with silver hair with a crown on his head walked in and held a silver-haired woman's hand. The two figures walked into the arena. Aria ran up to them and cheerfully yelled," Hi Daddy, Hi mommy, " and she hugged the two figures revealed as her parents. They are also the rulers of the dragon kingdom.

The king looked at John and said," I am happy that we found you because the gods don't like people that belong here on another planet and also don't like people failing the tasks the gods give to them personally." (Note: The gods have attachment issues with their creation)I have no idea what type of dragon you are, but I believe you are going to surprise everyone.

John turned to look at Rajan. He was finishing up a circle of stones depicting every type of dragon in the middle of the arena. Rajan announced," the awakening ritual spell is done. I have placed 7 magical stones coinciding with all of the types of dragons by the ancient practice of awakening. John steps into the circle and we shall begin the awakening. "

John nodded and walked up to the outer edges of the magic circle. John hesitated for a couple of seconds and took a deep breath. John then walked inside the magic circle.

John looked at Rajan and said," Rajan, I'm ready to begin my awakening."

Rajah looked at the king and said," My lord, may I begin."

The king nodded and said," Yes, you may begin, but just for more shielding from the awakening increase the barrier protection."

Rajan eyed the king and sighed," Alrighty, I'll put up the second barrier for added protection, but I don't believe we will need the added protection from the awakening." Rajan spoke in an echoic loud voice,"

"Bearer magi" and a translucent boundary immediately formed around the stone circle. A second magic barrier appeared around the whole arena. Rajan turned and said to John," close your eyes and try to feel power through you and take it with your mind and control it and then say Vekke."

John nodded and closed his mind and focused on the magic power he had inside of him. He did this for what seemed to be an hour. John then felt a jolt of magic that felt like electricity going through his body. He saw in his mind. A source of magic getting thrown at him. He saw in his mind a dragon, 30 ft tall, and the length of 3 elephants stacked against each other. The dragon then looked at him and blew flames at him with fierce ferocity. John awoke from the awakening ritual with a jolt. The first thing he noticed when he woke up is that he felt different. John opened his eyes and saw Narkon, Aria, the king, the queen, and Rajan outside the arena, startled and mouths gaping open wide. John noticed he was way taller than all of them and confused himself, but the king interrupted his thought.

The king stuttered,"...It looks like..the awakening ritual is done."

John Questioned," How do you think that?"

Aria spoke up and yelled while stuttering, "...Look at yourself!"

John excitably thought," Oh yeah, I think the ritual worked because I feel different. I think I transformed into a dragon. I will look at my dragon form ." John looked down and felt where his hands were. He felt his claws hooking the ground. John breathed in the air and noticed fire coming out when he exhales. He looked down and saw his body; He saw black scales covering the front of his chest and claws we're clothed in black except for his claws we're white. He felt what he assumed to be his tail swing in front of him and landed on the ground with a thud.

Aria interrupted his awe of himself and yelled, "So you know you are the extinct type of dragon!"

The king shushed Aria harshly and said, "My daughter, this is a glorious thing. The black dragons have returned to this world. So we must celebrate with a feast for what the great dragon god has given us!" The queen whispered in the king's ear about something. The king said, "Thank you, wife, for reminding me. John, you need to focus and go back to your humanoid form. In so doing, we can celebrate the revival of the black dragons. Also, I can give you a tour of the capital city."

John was shocked that he was a black dragon. John then focused his magic energy and thought of himself as a human and felt his body shrink and his body return to his human form.

The king said, "follow me," and all of the people in the arena followed the king except Rajan.
