Salix   Once more, he awoke, nauseated but otherwise okay. He stretched his limbs as much as he could. The pain in his body was less than the last time he woke so guessed that he’d had more time to heal. He looked around in the dim light and saw that he was in a windowless room with a low ceiling. If he stood, he would probably hit his head. The air was thick with moisture and mildew. It smelled the same as before, so he didn’t think he’d been moved. Someone must have turned on the bare light bulb in the center of the room. The room wasn’t as big as he imagined it to be, it was full of sheet covered furniture and looked to be unused for quite some time. The wood panels on the walls curled back off the walls in several places. In the far corner, he could see Amara tied to a dining chair.
