Something Scary “Don’t touch me! What do you mean you don’t know me! ” I glared at the man as I removed my sunglasses from the top ofmy head, stepping back. Today is the wedding ceremony of the hottest man in the whole of Russia. Yuri Stalin was that man that every girl wanted. He was the sexiest man alive in Russia, according to times magazine. He topped first 10 youngest billionaires in the country, at age 18. Now at age 29, he is the 5th youngest billionaire in the world with a net worth of 3.7B dollars. The better part of it is, wealth runs in the family. His uncle, Dimitri Stalin is the richest man in Russia. He had hearts break into shreds the moment he announced his wedding on social media. The internet went agog because people wondered who his bride would be. We never got to see her because he didn’t show her. That was weird. Now that was why I was sent to interview the bride but I just can’t get access into the room. “I’m sorry young lady, only family members are allowed” the security man warned. “I can’t believe this” I muttered. I took in a deep breath and stared at the man. Maybe I should try diplomacy. I cleared my throat “ emm hello —I waved my hands in front of him and he turned to me, gosh his eyes had no emotion in them— okay, my name is Katia Ivanovo, I mean don’t you watch the news” I laughed. “Don’t tell me you’ve been living under a rock” I laughed again. The man stared at me like I was a book on a wrong shelf and looked away. his face deadpanned. I shut my eyes and sighed. Then I felt some vibration on my side. It was Viktor, the camera guy. “Any news?” he said. “Nothing yet Vi” I said. “Alright dear, hang on, I will call the boss” he said and he hung up. I leaned into the wall as I watched people go in and out of the dressing room. “Hey hello” I smiled and he stared at me. This was good. He was listening. “Okay hi, my name is Katia—I pointed at my big press ID on my neck I work for star Television. I am here to just interview the bride, will you let me in” I gave him my cutest smile and batted my eyelashes. My boyfriend always said with that look, I could get anything I wanted. Well I am about to put that to a test. “I’m sorry miss, this room is only for family members” he said with a deadpanned look again, before looking away. I glared at him and flipped him. “Katia?” Viktor called out to me as I marched out of the building. “Hey Viktor I rubbed my temples and sighed have you called the boss?” “Yes” “Wait let me guess, he didn’t pick?” and Viktor nodded. “Aha, Classical Mr. Rostov” I muttered under my breath. “Alright let me go talk to the guy? Viktor said but I held his arm “Don’t waste your time Vi, the man has a heart of stone” I said.Just then we could hear some Chaos coming from the entrance. “Come on Katia, let’s use this as news, instead of the interview with the bride” Viktor suggested. I thought about it. I had promised my boss an exclusive with the bride. He would have so much hope on me. “Alright Viktor, set u—“I stopped mid-sentence when I saw the bouncer that wouldn’t let me into the bride’s room. That will mean one thing; the door was free and I still get to do my exclusive interview. I slipped on my sun glasses and turned to Viktor “Viktor cover for me I’m going in” I whispered. Viktor and I walked closer to the entrance, behind the Bouncers, and the little crowd. Viktor began to ask about the situation, and just as someone began to explain, I slipped into the building. As I walked briskly to the room, my heart raced. I didn’t look back. When I got in the ladies didn’t really spare me a glance as they were hell bent on getting ready. There was a few who looked up and I could see the questions rising in their heads. I flashed my Press ID at them and they smiled. “ hi—I smiled— please where is the bride?” I asked a girl. “ oh she just stepped out. ” the girl replied. I smiled and said thanks. So I took a seat and began to wait. Seconds turned to minutes and minutes turned to an hour. The bride was yet to come. The room was getting empty as the girls slowly began to leave. Finally it was just me. I asked a girl, before she left if the bride was going to come back and she said yes. That the bride haven’t put on her veil. So I sat put. Then I became bored. I looked up and saw that I was seated in front of a mirror. I walked to it. I was getting better at doing my own make up. I turned and saw a veil. A red veil that matched the red of my gown. I took it and tried it but it didn’t fit. So I had to let them my hair. I removed my hair from the ponytail it was and placed the veil. I loved what I saw. The designer’s gown the company ordered fit me to a T. Then I thought of my wedding. I wonder if Ian, my boyfriend was thinking of marrying me in the near future. Suddenly the lights went off. Then I could hear footsteps. I froze. “Who’s there?” I yelled in a trembling voice. Silence. My adrenaline shot all the way up. I began to fish for my phone in my purse, when huge hands came from behind and grabbed me. my phone fell to the floor. I kicked and pushed. “ Let me go!” he put a hand to my mouth and then everything became blurry.
