I squeezed my face as the morning sun shone in my eyes. I felt uncomfortable so I had to open my eyes. I sighed and touched my forehead.
“Argh!” I felt a sharp pain at the left side of my forehead. “What on earth happened?” I muttered to myself.
My brain finally noticed I wasn't at home. I compressed my face, wandered my eyes left and right. The room was huge, too big for just a room. It was painted white and had expensive decorations everywhere.
I adjusted myself and sat at the back of the king sized bed. The white duvet was covered half way on my body and the pillows were so soft at my back.
I was so shocked to look at my left. It was a huge transparent glass wall that filled the entire left side of the room. Not only that, the view was amazing. You could literally view the city from here. Huge landscape and tall buildings.
At the front of the bed, there seemed to be a tiny living room. It just felt like I was in a five star hotel.
I was starting to feel scared. I checked my body and saw I was still wearing my clothes from yesterday. I started panicking and tightened my eyes.
“Kim, you've got to remember. What happened yesterday?” I was murmuring to myself with tightened eyes.
I clearly remember David and Kendal. Went to a club, got drunk and smashed a car.
“Smashed a car?!” I screamed and opened my eyes widely.
The hot guy from last night came flashing in my head. Who was he? What am I even doing here?!
I swiped the duvet from my body, stood from the bed and started shivering. My heart was trembling in fear. What have I gotten myself into?
I searched for my phone and saw it at the small table beside the bed. I hastily picked it and unlocked the large screen with my thumb finger print.
My hands were trembling, shivering, shaking and sweaty. I managed and clicked calls.
“100 missed calls?!” I exclaimed in fear.
I was so angry to see that most of it was from Kendal. I checked and David didn't bother calling. That was not even important now.
I searched around me on my right. I saw the door that probably led out of the room. I rushed to it and held the door knob. I twisted and opened it.
Immediately I opened it, I looked up and saw the man from last night.
“Ah!” I gasped in shock. My feet staggered backwards, making me lose balance and fell to the floor.
My butt hit the floor making the old pain come back. I screamed and tightened my eyes. The pain was just too unbearable.
I opened my eyes and looked up. He wore a cold stern face. His electrifying blue eyes gazed at me, sending shivers down my spine.
I forgot about the pain and fear gripped me. He was wearing a white shirt with three undid buttons. It made his chest tattoo evident.
“Come downstairs for breakfast.” He commanded with a flat voice. His cold expression was present. He gave a nonchalant look at me.
He turned and was heading out.
“Wait!” I gathered all the courage in me.
He stopped and turned to look at me with a grumpy glare.
“Who are you? What is here? Where am I? Who brought me here? Why am I here?” I blurted out, gesturing my hands left and right.
I finally looked at him but he stood ideal at the door.
He started walking towards me. I was getting tense as he advanced. I was still on the floor, feeling lazy to stand. He finally reached my side. He bent down and shifted his face closer to mine. Our faces were a few inches apart.
“Come-down-stairs!” He broke those words in a very rude manner. He made me tremble in fear with his expression.
He didn't seem like he was playing, he looked extremely serious. He gave a slight smirk in a second and left the door.
I jerked up and strutted out of the room. I went out to see a large corridor. Each part had different decorations. Beautiful paintings and a table that had vases of flowers.
I ignored the beauty of the house and silently followed him to his back. The way he walked, made it obvious he normally works out.
We reached the long and wide staircase that led to the living room. The living room was epic and huge. It was definitely a mansion. Probably a castle.
We climbed the long stairs and made our way to the dining room. Lots of maids stood at each corner of the house, doing their random stuff. He sat at the seat in the middle.
“Sit.” He commanded, directing his hand to the first seat at his right.
I humbly sat on the chair. I looked at the table just to see varieties of food.
He started eating in the most stylish way. Using a fork and knife to cut the steak carefully.
“Eat.” He commanded in the same tune.
I glared at him and rolled my eyes in annoyance.
“What if the food is poisoned? Uhn?” I gave him a death glare. “Stop beating around the bush and explain why the f**k I'm here?”
He banged the cutlery on the table, making an unpleasant noise. He turned his face to me and frowned.
“Good morning sir.” A man came from nowhere and walked towards us.
“What took you so long, Hendrix?” He frowned and said flatly.
“I apologize.” He bowed his head and stood to his left.
The man was formally dressed in a black suit and was holding a suitcase. I was getting more confused as each scene went.
“Just read the darn contract,” the hot guy said. Wearing the same reluctant facial expression and sounding extremely rude.
The man, whose name seemed to be Hendrix, opened the suitcase and brought out a brown file. What the f**k was happening? Contract? What was that?
Hendrix opened the file, took the white paper and started reading confidentially.
“Miss Kimberly Jones, 24 years old, works in a daily shipping company, lives at block 125 apartment number 325,” my brows pulled in askance. Why was my life history read on paper? Nevertheless, he continued reading, “Mr Carlos Sebastian, 27-years old, owner of Carlix International, is suing Miss Kimberly Jones for smashing his Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail, which is worth 30 million dollars…”
“30 million dollars!” I screamed, startling them both. I cared less. I gasped and covered my mouth. They both glared at me and gave that ‘are you okay’ glare.
“Continue Hendrix.” Sebastian instructed.
He nodded and continued reading. “Miss Kimberly Jones is meant to pay the money back or taken to court for further appeal.” He stopped.
There was silence in the large mansion. My heart almost disconnected from my chest. Court? Money? Why was my life going like this?
Not only did I suffer from a boyfriend cheating on me, but I was going to pay such a huge sum of money.
“I think y'all have gone crazy,” I chortled. I was starting to feel hot even though I was already baptized with AC.
I was about standing, when Sebastian grabbed my hand. His touch gave me sensory issues I didn't want to feel. My feet automatically stopped. He pushed me back to sit with just one hand.
“You have two options, Miss Kimberly.” Our eyes met. His voice sounded the same, which made him look darn hot.
I noticed his hands were still on mine. He removed it when he noticed my eyes were fixed on it.
“What?” I asked curiously.
“You either pay the money or
…” He paused, making it seem more dramatic.
“Or?” I was even more curious.
“Marry me,” he said without even blinking.
