BIRTH OF A QUEEN

1016 Words
Screams of a woman were audible all around the fort, she was in extreme pain. Her voice was anxious and tired. "THAKUR SAA!!!" she screamed in another painful scream. The man pacing outside the room wailed and asked his mother,"Maa saa thakurain needs me! She is in extreme pain" He never thought his beloved would go through such trauma. He really wished to take all her pain on himself- only if the Heavens allowed it. His mother calmed him down,"It's normal bannsa, apki binani ko kuchh nahi hoga" she said while patting his shoulder. It was just an attempt to calm Thakur saa which was in vain. On the other side, the woman was fighting for her life and the lil life growing inside her. "One more push baisa! One more!!" The dai maa consoled her. The woman in labour was extremely tired. She wished to quit. Darkness was submerging her. Her eyes were shutting. The woman was tired but the mother woke up and with all her might she pushed for one last time and finally gave birth to a new creation. The shrill cries of the baby was soon heard. The worried husband now stopped pacing. The dai maa came outside and handed over the baby to the now father,"Mubarakho Thakur saa apke ghar Laxmi padhari hai" Thakur saa got extremely emotional looking at the small life in his hand, he immediately hugged her and started crying. No one thought such a fearsome man will be getting so worried and emotional for his pregnant wife and new born daughter. There was a new emotion in her heart now. He never thought he could feel such pure affectionate love for someone. The first thing he said to his daughter was a promise, a promise to always protect her and shower her with all the riches and happiness of the world. He kissed his daughter's forehead and mysteriously the weeping baby calmed down. "Kya hua bannsaa? Betiya ki moh mein apke Thakurain ko bhul gaye?" His mother teased him. He immediately went inside and with tears in his eyes but an ear to ear grin told his wife,"Radhika see we had such a beautiful daughter" He was as happy as a child, as if showing off his biggest achievement. The tired mother smiled at him looking at her daughter. She was purely an angel. She was too tired to speak but she asked him question,"Are you happy?" "Happy? Arey Radhika today I'm the happiest man for the 2nd time!" The first time was when he married his childhood sweetheart- his wife, Thakurain Radhika Bai. Soon the news spread to all parts of his kingdom and also to his best friend since gurukul Maharaja Vijay Pratap Singh Rajput. ~~~ After few days when the mother and baby both got a bit stable and according to the tithi all the arrangements for Namkaran were done. Kings and ministers from distant lands were invited. Thakur saa left no scope of insufficiency in his welcoming and comfort of guests. He kept on nagging with his attendees and double and triple checked all the preparations for the 1000th time. After all it's his angel's namkaran and he wished it to be so grand that even celestials will come down to bless the child. He was dancing on the seventh heaven because of his first child and that also from the woman he loves more than his life. After all the guests arrived, soon the ceremonies started and after calculating the new born's stars, the astrologers with the widest grin declared. "We literally have a Goddess here, she will bring fortune and prosperity to her family and whichever family she is wedded to. She will become the greatest of Queen ruling over the world. She is a pure depiction of the adi shakti" "A Queen?..." Thakurain whispered while putting a hand on her mouth and looking at her daughter. As everyone rejoiced at the 'Queen' mention, Radhika noticed some distress on her husband's face. After taking a break the astrologer with twinkling eyes looked at the proud yet stressed face of the new father and said,"Raje ab aap ek subh naam sujhaye" Thakur looked towards his wife and nodded. "Adisha" she said with pride while holding her daughter. Adisha, another name of Goddess Durga. The fierce Goddess who represents the strength in any feminine energy. The kind yet strong mother figure of this world. Everyone rejoiced at the beautiful name and fortune of the little princess but soon a roaring voice interrupted it. "Maharani Adisha!" A proud and confident personality declared. Both the parents looked at the voice and it was Maharaja Vijay. The King belonging to the greatest lineage of Rajputana. But why he did such extreme remark? He smiled softly at his best friend while walking towards him. He first hugged his best friend. "I always wished a good deserving Queen for my son Yuvraj Uday and nothing is better than tying the knot of friendship into family" He finished. "But Rana saa... my daughter being ... a Queen.. how..?" "What how friend?" "I mean, being a Queen means facing all the royal politics and lot of hardships. All I wish for my daughter is to live a simple life..." Thakur saa lowered his gaze in confusion. "My friend, trust me she will not shed a tear till I'm alive. From today onwards she is not only your daughter but mine too. So please don't leave me empty handed today." The king was good with his words and hence gained Thakur saa's trust. That day the celebration doubled because the people not only enjoyed Thakur saa's daughter's naming ceremony but also found their future Queen. The little now Yuvrani was playing with her mother, giggling and smiling not knowing that she got such a big responsibility since this young age. ~~~ Author's Note: Hey guys hope you liked the story, it might seem a bit slow in the beginning but I promise to make it as interesting as possible Do vote for it and comment Lots of love sweeties❤
