Chapter 13

1196 Words
Zane opened his eyes as he smelled such a delicious aroma and he turned his head towards the food source that emitted a very good aroma. The door of the room was still closed, but the smell of the food that was still hot made him swallow. Zane remembers that last night he slept with Randall but now Randall is no longer in the room. Zane thought that it might be possible that Randall was already outside the room and would come in after some time. However, until Zane sat in bed long enough, Randall did not appear. Zane saw the bell was at the side of the bed, the bell given by Randall earlier to call the waitress. Zane rang the bell and quickly Gene opened the door to the room. Gene looked uncomfortable and glanced left and right and said quietly, "The princess is awake, do you want breakfast now?" Zane was used to getting princess calls from Randall and his subordinates and new servants, but Gene, who used to call him the young master, made him a little awkward. Zane smiled slightly and said, "What's wrong?". Gene walked over to the side of the bed with a warm wet towel for Zane to wash his face, "Early this morning, all the new maids were called in to be recorded and told the rules of all kinds. Gino and I will continue to serve the princess directly, and we must start following the existing rules, one of which is to call you according to your level." "Oh, aren't the maids in this mansion kind to you?", asked Zane who handed Gene the wet towel he had used to wipe his face. "Everything is kind and friendly, princess, It's just that Gino and I are still not used to the rules here. After a few days, we must have gotten used to it," said Gene who prepared Zane's wheelchair. Zane was helped by Gene to sit in a wheelchair and then out of the bedroom. Zane saw several other servants who were standing waiting for him outside the bedroom including Gino. And on the table there was food that was still hot but there was no Randall. Zane also asked, "Where is the Hereditary Prince?". Gene replied quietly, "The Hereditary Prince has left before sunrise to go to the border gate". Zane was shocked that Randall had gone to the border but did not tell him. Zane just stood still and stared at the hot food in front of him lazily, his appetite had disappeared. "Princess, are you awake?", a boy ran in and stopped when he saw the many waiters standing next to their princess who was eating. "Lowell, what's wrong?", asked Zane who saw the arrival of the excited boy. Zane looked at Lowell who was walking towards him in confusion while looking at the waiters and then to the food on the table. "What's wrong?", Zane asked again to the boy who was carrying the book in his hand. "Ah, princess. Do you need a lot of waiters to serve you? God alone only had one servant, and it was only Lud's uncle. Ahh... What is the young master who commands these servants? The young master is very spoiled princess hehe", muttered Lowell who was smiling with his chubby cheeks. "Gene, who sent this many servants here?", asked Zane who stared at Gene. Gene said quietly, "Sir Lud, princess. I heard that the Sovereign Prince is very worried about your condition." "Ah, yes, I have it. ", Zane turned to Lowell while patting the chair beside him to tell Lowell to sit down. Lowell was not shy and immediately sat next to Zane. Zane told the waiter to bring another plate for Lowell. Lowell was happy to have breakfast for the second time with his princess's delicious food. While picking up the food, Lowell said to Zane, "Young master is back at the border for a few days because there is a sudden problem at the border, I will take care of the princess 24 hours. If you need something, just tell me. Hmm... Then, he said the princess wanted to see soap making and other handicrafts? Later I will take you there". Zane nodded as he listened to Lowell's chatter, he at least had a friend to talk to while Randall left. Seeing Lowell's behavior, he felt more relaxed and could eat his breakfast more comfortably. Zane also has a half-sister in Thylane's mansion but she really never talks to each other except when they have to be at the same table. It was also obvious that his younger siblings disliked except for Arwen who still talked to him often and came to his room to give gifts after he left somewhere, unfortunately last year when Odessa fought the barbarians, Arwen was hit by an arrow and died shortly afterwards. Zane remembered Arwen lying on the bed and the blood from his arrow wound that never stopped. Initially, Arwen could be saved, but when he returned to the mansion, the bleeding in his wound became worse and finally took Arwen's life. Zane sat in his wheelchair with Lowell pushing him and Gene walking beside him with an umbrella that separated Zane from the actual not very hot autumn heat. Zane looked around the mansion and felt that there were indeed only a few people in this mansion, the maids also saw only those who cleaned the mansion and the maids who worked in the kitchen. The waiter who came to serve Zane this morning was originally just a waitress who usually cleans or works in the laundry only, not a waitress who usually serves the masters in this family. Because of this, Zane sent them back to their original jobs. Zane doesn't need a lot of servants and he also doesn't like to be seen by many people so just Gene, Gino and Lowell being by his side are enough. "Princess, are you going somewhere?", greeted someone who had just come out of a room not far from Zane's small group walking. "Ah, doctor Farkas", Zane looked at the doctor, who was probably still in his early 30s. "I was just planning to go to your courtyard to check on your situation. Where are you going?", said doctor Farkas who walked up to Zane. "Oh, I want to meet Luana to see the process of making handicrafts in Asa", replied Zane who felt a little awkward. "Are you interested in handicrafts? Then, all the time I examine you, I will also take you there", said Doctor Farkas who glanced at Lowell and smiled. "Of course, thank you", Zane replied with a smile on his face. The small group grew by one person and the atmosphere was instantly different, Lowell was not the only one babbling. Lowell and Doctor Farkas were enough to fill the silence into a great commotion. Zane would occasionally respond to their remarks with short words and a smile that would appear on his lips as often as he answered. Until finally they also arrived at the handicraft manufacturing place which is next to the Kiran family mansion.
