POV ROBERT After a long and productive day of work with Emma on the market analysis for Sullivan Tech, it was finally time to say goodbye. I stood up from the chair, gave her a gentle kiss on the lips, and smiled. “Emma, I have to go,” I murmured, feeling a tinge of sadness at having to part from her at that moment. She pouted her lips, her green eyes looking at me affectionately. “I miss you already,” she said playfully. I returned the look with tenderness and leaned in to kiss her again. “Don't worry. I'll be back, so quickly you won't even notice I was gone.” With one last hug, I made my way to the apartment's door. I opened it carefully and was surprised to come face to face with Miranda, Emma's friend, standing in the hallway. She raised an inquisitive eyebrow. “Leaving, Bobby?”
