I agreed, aware that honesty was the only way forward. “If Emma wants justice, let her have it. If she wants the ten million, so be it.”
Tom shook his head, clearly dissatisfied. “Ten million may be a quick fix, but it doesn't address the underlying issues. You need to face the consequences of your actions.”
I swallowed hard, knowing he was right. “And what about the company? How does this affect Parker Technology?”
Tom sighed. “It will depend on how Emma decides to proceed. If she takes this to court, the company will face serious consequences. But before that, we need to deal with this internally. Let's talk to the legal team, review contracts, and prepare a defense.”
