The evening was falling over East Palo Alto as I stared at the modest building where Emma Williams lived. That area, far from the luxurious skyscrapers of Silicon Valley, was a striking contrast to the opulence I was accustomed to. I decided to confront this unfamiliar reality because my duty as the younger brother was to protect Robert from any threat, including the potential revelation of his false identity to Emma.
