The Decision

CHAPTER 7 The days turned into a flurry of activity, as I started planning my trip. I booked a ticket to Bali, the same place Alex had brought the wooden box from. I wanted to see it for myself, to experience the beauty and tranquility that had inspired the intricate carvings. As the days counted down, I felt a mix of excitement and nerves. What would I find there? Would I find myself? The uncertainty was both thrilling and terrifying. I started to prepare, packing light, leaving behind the clutter of memories and emotions. I said goodbye to friends, promising to stay in touch, to share my journey with them. The night before I left, I sat in my studio, surrounded by my art, feeling a sense of accomplishment. I'd come a long way, from the darkness of heartbreak to the uncertainty of new beginnings. I looked at the wooden box, now a symbol of hope, of resilience. The next morning, I boarded the plane, feeling a sense of liberation, of possibility. As the plane took off, I watched the city disappear, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders. I was finally letting go, letting the wind carry me to new horizons. The island of Bali appeared, a green oasis in the turquoise sea. I felt a jolt of excitement, of anticipation. What lay ahead? The plane touched down, and I stepped into the unknown, feeling a sense of freedom I'd thought was lost forever.
