Avery and I watch as Amber jumps out of my car at Hayes Street Beach and begins to run towards the beach. I pulled up behind Alec’s car so we know for certain that he is here somewhere.
“Do you think Alec will be okay?” Avery asks worriedly, staring after her twin. She is fidgeting with her silver ring.
“He might not be right now, but Amber is with him now. I have full faith that she will get him through this.” I advise her confidently and pull her hand into my lap as I begin to drive away from the beach.
