"Stop," Kael's voice cut through the white light, desperate and raw, breaking through the roar of power surrounding me.
The moonfire was inches from my chest, frozen mid-strike like time itself had paused. I was still screaming inside my head, still fighting Seraphina for control, both of us locked in a battle neither could win.
