Lately, even small tasks seemed impossible, so he pretty much spent his entire time in front of the TV. That was where he first learnt of the Polish plane crash. The beautiful young woman on the news relayed the details calmly and he took them on board with a stoic detachment. It’s as if his tired brain couldn’t process the enormity of what he had just heard.
