It was a little past three in the afternoon when I remembered I had an appointment booked with Tracy for our spa and makeup session. My dad's birthday was today after all.
We arrived a few minutes before 4 p.m. and with time ticking, we began getting ready immediately. We talked and laughed through the entire process, and before we knew it, it was already past six.
My hair was styled in deep wavy curls, with a few strands dyed a soft pale yellow. The hazelnut color paired beautifully with the highlights. My makeup was more vibrant than usual, and my skin glowed after the spa session.
I stood before the mirror, admiring my reflection when Tracy squealed in delight behind me making me blush.
"You look like a goddess, Laura. Ahhhh! An angel must’ve fallen from heaven," she exclaime
