I’d been at the banquet for over two hours, and still hadn’t gotten a glimpse of Laura. The cake ceremony was approaching, and I knew she wouldn’t miss it. But surprisingly, she wasn’t there.
I got suspicious when I saw several members of the blackwood pack being mobilized and moved discreetly through the event.
I noticed the heavy expression on both Damian and Lincoln's face and that was enough for me to confirm something had gone wrong. I went outside and noticed the security was tighter than usual. All cars leaving were thoroughly checked and no one could leave unnoticed.
