Out of everything I expected, a ring was something that never came to my mind. I stared at Kaden for a while longer, still not knowing how to reply.
"Laura," He called out to me softly. "Are you okay?"
I didn't know what to say, but I knew I had to snap out of my trance eventually.
"Why now? Why do you still give me your ring, especially now?" I asked in a barely audible voice.
"I loved you before your accident Laura. I still love you, and I will continue to love you. So, will you be my wife?" He smiled at me.
I choked on my sobs as I nodded lightly. His lips curved into a beautiful smile as he picked up the ring and slid it gently into my hand.
