I walked slowly towards the conference room with several thoughts running through my head. The last time I saw him was at his engagement party when he was disguised as Kyle and before I was dragged away unconditionally by those men. I didn’t know why those packs wanted me, but somehow Kyle was involved with them.
When I finally stepped inside, I was greeted by the face I had missed these past few days. Yet the warmth I craved wasn’t there. This wasn't Kaden after all. It was Kyle. Kyle’s eyes held a complicated look I couldn’t decipher. I kept my own expression cold as I walked to my seat under his watchful gaze.
"Are you okay?" The words I expected from him didn't come. Rather, he decided to greet me with his fake concern.
