We were just about rounding up the meeting when the muffled sound of conversation outside turned into full-blown commotion. The voices clashed with one another, loud enough to pierce through the glass doors.
Kaden and I exchanged a glance, unable to hide our curiosity. We had been seated with some executives as well as one of Mr. Simon’s trusted aides, who had been walking us through the intricacies of the project.
It was no small deal. It was one of those contracts that was demanding, and needed a lot of planning. The meeting had been filled with tension from the beginning with complaints and disagreements and we had rejected most of the business proposals brought forward.
