LAURA I felt lightheaded as I struggled to open my eyes. Everywhere was dark. It took a while before the memories returned, crashing into me like a wave. I’d been abducted. Again. My brows knitted as I assessed my surroundings. I was seated on a chair in what seemed like an open space. There was nothing within sight, only the chill of the night air brushing against my skin. Oddly, I wasn’t bound. That detail made me frown even deeper. Slowly, I rose to my feet and took a few hesitant steps forward. But before I could go further, a sharp light pierced my eyes, blinding my vision. It was a car's headlight and within its glare stood a figure. “Who are you?” I asked lightly. Shielding my eyes from the beam, I tried to make out his face but it was to no avail. “Laura Blackwood,” he said
