The doctor stepped out with a tired look on his face and he took off his face mask. I rushed to my feet, waiting for him to inform me of Laura's condition.
"How's she?" I asked, worry written all over my face.
"She didn't sustain any bone deep wound. With proper treatment and under the right conditions, she'll heal quickly. But she won't be okay emotionally, especially when she wakes up to all those marks on her body," the doctor said in pity.
