" Bang !" Jason said in his mind in anticipation of the collision .
It never happened . With his eyes closed , he had involuntarily steered the vehicle away from the truck by a whisker's breadth . However , it hit the rails and keeled over in a series of summersaults down a twenty-metre , steep slope . It landed at the bottom on its roof , with Jason trapped within in a state of oblivion .
A few metres ahead , the truck driver pulled up by the roadside and hastened back to where Jason's vehicle had catapulted over . When he saw what had happened , he realized that there was nothing he could do to help by himself . He took out his cellphone and called for help .
