Chapter 5 Okay, so fine, I never did catch him. I spent several minutes dashing through the trees, trying to close the gap between us, but it was like trying to hold water in your hands. Totally futile, and in the end, you always lost what you were trying to hold on to. After another hour of running, we’d all decided to call it quits and headed back to the city. I only had a couple days left before my Choosing, and I knew my grandmother wanted everything to be perfect.
