-6- Autumn lifted Chrissy out of her car seat and placed her on the ground. Dr. Wes’ office was about twenty minutes from the house, a longer ride than usual for Chrissy, and so a good stretch was in order. Chrissy shook and then extended first her front paws and then each rear leg in turn. It reminded Autumn of the yoga posture, “downward dog.” Chrissy executed the moves like a master, and it made Autumn laugh. Autumn guided her through the glass doors and into her psychiatrist’s office. The receptionist gave a warm welcome and petted Chrissy. They took a seat in the waiting area.
