Steve lay in his private room at the hospital, watching television. His cardiologist decided to keep him for the week to ensure the crisis had passed. He was glad that Lisa could stay with him for most of the day and into the evening. She was good company. He knew that his wife would have done the same if she were alive.
“Dad?”
“Yes, dear.”
“I’ve been doing a lot of thinking.”
“About what?”
