Alexis clenched her jaw throughout her nail appointment. Autumn had taken her off guard. Under that sweet exterior was a probing intellect waiting to catch Alexis in a lie. She had not met Gary for lunch the day of his death. They had planned to go to the Knollwood Inn at some point, but Gary was reluctant since he could not bring Chrissy.
That fur ball had sucked her in. Admittedly, it looked like Autumn was taking good care of her. Seeing Chrissy made her miss Gary. Since his death, she had created a fantasy world about their relationship. The vision was strong enough that it went against the reality of his death and their actual relationship.
