The chase (two)

It was almost 12noon the next day which is Monday and Gilberto was still on his bed, sleeping heavily. Ben's party last night was too fun and crazy, they got drunk,played games, hooked up, danced alot, it raved crazy,freaky and fun that night. Gilberto managed to come home that morning but fell on his bed with his cloths and just slept off.

His phone rang several times he could hear it in his dreams, then he wakes up and grabs his phone and looked at the time.

"Oh my God!" He screamed seeing it was almost 1:33pm already, he jumps up rushed to the bathroom,took a quick shower and dressed up in his navy blue suit,ran out of the house and got into his car and drove off to work.

Henry has been calling him so many times now , he eventually picked up .

"Hello sir, good afternoon sir, where are you sir, you have many appointments and everyone's waiting for you sir." Henry said respectfully.

"Ummm Henry I will be there soon,if it's too much ask them to come back tomorrow." Gilberto said.

"Sir miss Gabriella has been in your office for one hour now, remember the contract signing is today, should I tell her you postponed." Henry asked.

"Umm nope Henry, tell her to wait for me I will be there in about ummm 20mins." Gilberto said feeling like he's messed up the day .

"Okay sir I will do that." Henry replied.

Gilberto increased his speed and in 15 mins he was at work, he's hardly or never late and scolds and sometimes fires late comers, most time he places them on fine. Now today he's breaking his own rules.

"Good afternoon sir" most of his staffs greeted as he works into the building and straight up to his office,he was worried about what they would think of his lateness today, but he didn't show it physically, he was composed and confident in his walk to his office.

"Hello miss Gabby " Gilberto greeted Gabriella as he walks into his office up to his chair.

"Good afternoon boss, your late, I been here for over an hour. Well I know you rich guys just love keeping people waiting for you". Gabriella said mildly and looked at him with a sexy but an intentional eye.

" Okay I went to a party last and came home this morning, but this is my company and my office, and if your going to be working for me, I would want you to keep your pride and leud mouth at home,I won't tolerate your words anymore." Gilberto said in a gentle but strict tone.

"Ohh okay am sorry, I just hate waiting this long." Gabriella said with a more respectful tone. Gilberto was inwardly upset already,but tried to control it, but was no longer in the mood to be all petting with her.

"It's alright here's your contract, sign here and here, am sure you have read the copy of it, so just sign so I can attend to the next person."Gilberto said in a professional but serious tone.

"Hmmm alright" Gabriella replied and signed the contract.

"Alright thanks alot , you're free to go now." Gilberto said ,closing up the contracts but avoiding looking at Gabriella at all. Gabriella stood up to go but then she paused, stared at Gilberto arranging some files, then she said. "Hey am sorry for sounding the way I did, I know that was disrespectful and I sincerely apologize. I know you're kind of pissed, but am willing to take you up on that dinner offer ,if it makes you feel any better." Gabriella said still staring down at him.

Gilberto looked up, with an unappeased face, though deep inside his heart he was so happy that this just happened,but he wasn't ready to make her feel like she's doing him a favor.

"Hmmm and what if I say am no longer interested?" Gilberto said looking directly into her eyes with an unamused countenance.

"Hey am sorry I spoke that way, and I sincerely apologize, it's alright if you do not want to have dinner with me any longer, but am still open to the offer, if you change your mind, you have my number hit me up." Gabriella said calmly and walked out of the office.

"Wow what just happened?, got yaa, wooo!!," Gilberto rejoiced really happy, he was able to pull the strings on this one.

"Yeah bro she said she's cool on the dinner offer. It's gonna be a beautiful dinner bro." Gilberto gisted Ben later that night about his encounter with Gabriella at the office.

"Wow bro, I am more surprised at the fact that you are drooling over this lady. Bro what's happening?" Ben asked in awe.

"Well bro I don't know, I have never felt this strange or excited about any lady before, maybe am falling in love." Gilberto said

" You in love? That's going to be like the eighth wonder if the world,I don't believe in miracles bro." Ben mocked.

"What do you mean by that, I can be a lover. Yeah I haven't loved before,but even the devil has a wife, It won't be a sin if I have one too. Stop making me look so stone hearted." Gilberto said to Ben.

"Am not trying to make you look so stone hearted, you are stone hearted bro. Gosh do you know how many ladies out there right now on their bed, heads on their pillows , crying,weeping and trying to heal from the heartbreak and trauma you put them in, bro you are dangerous and that's definitely what you're going to do to Gabriella." Ben replied.

"Hmmm well point taken, I do not know what I feel for now, I might just be horny and attracted to the fact it's taking me a while to milk her honey pot, but tomorrow will tell. Either ways am still excited about the dinner." Gilberto said .

"Yeah yeah, I have heard you. Bro I need to retire to bed , I have a busy day tomorrow and I really do not want to be you today." Ben mocked jokingly

" I see am not safe with you tonight, well its alright go and sleep, and dream of your next prey." Gilberto said jokingly too.

"Goodnight my man, bye" Ben said cutting off the call.
