Zeph’s POV I couldn’t believe it. I can actually hear someone’s thinking. But I don’t understand. Why am I only hearing her thoughts? I pretended not to notice anything unusual. Slowly, I lifted the drink to my lips, tilting the glass just enough to make it seem like I had taken a sip. I noticed Karex’s expression, her eyes flickered with some sort of satisfaction. I set down the drink and smiled at Camille as if nothing was wrong. “Tch. She didn’t drink enough.” I fought the urge to react. So, she really did spike it. “See? That wasn’t so bad,” Karex remarked. “Were you expecting something else?” I asked. Karex let out a light chuckle, tilting her head. “Not at all.
