It is first thing in the morning. I am running through the castle's narrow passage ways, to get to my brother, before Stefan wakes up and tries to stop me.
Turning a corner, that I know leads down to my brother's room, I find myself bumping into Marcia and Drew's daughter, Bretta.
"Oh apologies Tiffany," she says, looking at me surprised.
"What are you doing here?" I talk an octave above a whisper as I'm annoyed.
"I'm going to see your brother. I saw him yesterday and he's been missing you," Bretta informs me with a shy smile on her face.
"How come they let you and not me his sister!"
"Because I didn't ask, I just took Cassanda with me," she says cheekily back to me.
