I was so happy to get out of that place and back home without getting caught. I tiptoed up the stairs to my bedroom.
Never in my life have I been so thankful to see my bed... and as I've said before, that has been often.
Exchanging the pillows in my bed for me, I breathe a sigh of relief.
I had gone there to find Dad and answers and had found so much more and now I find myself with more questions than I went there with.
I go to see if Amaryllis is back yet. Nope her room is still empty. She is spending far too long away these days... I guessed she has a mate, I'm not stupid. But her presence will get missed sooner or later and the truth will need to come out.
I need to speak to someone and the only other person who pops into my mind is Jen. I send her a quick tex
