“Not one of those men wants me for who I am! I am not going to be a pretty trophy and pop out babies like a good Omega!” I shouted and my brothers were all groaning. They had heard this since I was 18, each time an Alpha tried to take me, or mate me, or... date me even... it was all the same. I want to be done with them all and just meet the man who wants me because I am made for him. “Then just do as dad suggested,, make.  Them all fight for it in a human way and then they can fight for your affections one on one.” My oldest brother, almost Alpha, Tyler told me and I rolled my eyes. Who was anyone to fight over me, someone they didn’t know? “They don’t know me well enough to fight over me. I am not a breeding horse waiting to be tamed by the biggest stallion.” I told him and he nodded and sighed before looking to our other brothers. “So, what mom suggested? A big ball to see if any of them are your mate and then we shook them away until one of them actually acts like he wants to know you, for who you are.” Westley suggested and I just had to admit that it was one of the lesser irritating options. “Yes.” “Is it going to have a theme.” I smiled at all of them, they knew that the parties I loved the most always had a great theme. I decided to mess with them a bit. “Men wear dressed, women wear suits.” I tossed out there like it was the only option and the uproar from my four brothers was enough to o break me into long giggles before they calmed down. “Cinderella is basically fitting.” “You’re going to dress like a maid?” Wes asked me and I laughed. “No... in the movie the king tries to marry off his son to anyone who catches his eye, eligible maidens and all that... for this I will bow and meet men who have come and if they don’t spark anything then they walk off.” I told them knowing they would also be there trying to find their mates. Not one of us have found them, Tyler is almost 36 and he’s been waiting years to find his future Luna. After this birthday he will assume the title and be an Alpha with no Luna until she ... presents herself. The line went Tyler, Wes, Jude, Max and finally me, none of us have found our loves yet, but we know when we do, it will be magical. When our mom got wind of my plans to go with her plan, she set up everything for me, all I had to do was pick the cakes, the food, the invitations, and my dress. She took care of the seating, the hall the party would be in, most of the decorations, and the guest list.  Everything was in place just days before my 25th birthday party. It was a whirlwind. I went with a baby blue dress, more of the simple version of Cinderellas huge ball gown. It was floor length, sweetheart neck line, strapless, and my shoes were simple white pumps that made me at least half the height of my brothers when we stood in line to enter the room. I was on Max’s arm as we entered. The entire hall was filled with unknown scents and my wolf was clawing just a little bit, as if we were threatened but I pushed her back and took calming looks around the room, nodding to the few families I knew well enough to be happy to see them. There was an orchestra and they played my favorites, and while I did love the Cinderella music, it was Beauty and the Beast that was my favorite soundtrack. I was set at the top of the small stair case in a spot where everyone could see and that was when the Alphas and soon to be Alhas started to be introduced.  My brothers had prepared themselves, at our moms request, to know the lines and who I was meeting. I shook hands, waved them away, told them that this was to be about meeting my real mate and not just finding someone to dance with, and they were all nice enough to eventually walk away. There were some that had me almost drooling, most wolves were gorgeous, but not all of them were head turners when they opened their mouths. I always found it men with sisters are always the nicest to women, even omegas like me, and those who are only children usually seem more spoiled and needy of attention, even when they don’t deserve it. My brothers did. Good job telling me where and who they Alphas were, and it was half the night away before I started to get hungry so we announced dinner, we went into the next section of the building ate, and that was where dancing occurred. Since there were so many families present I got to sit and watch as some siblings danced and even some new mates who had found each other at my party, which only hurt a little bit, started to dance happily. I was halfway through my slice of cake when someone announced someone shouldn’t be here. I looked around and that was when I saw men pushing their way through some men around they dance floor. It was like they were getting to me, wanting me. Tyler and my brothers around Ed our table and were ready to fight until I felt my wolf, she was going the same thing she did years ago after I turned 18... she was whining in my head, and I looked around until I saw him. He had been in dreams and day dreams and I wasn’t sure he was ever real until now. I stood up slowly, pushing the chair back and almost falling. How did I know him? He looked familiar and my wolf knew him before we could even take in his scent. His eyes were dark, his face was unshaven like most men here, and he was wearing a tight suit that didn’t seem to fit him anymore. He wore no tie or bow, he had the first three buttons on the shirt undone because... I am sure, they didn’t stretch that far anymore. He had on boots, no dress shoes, and he was coming for me while his brothers pushed people out of the way. He stopped on the stairs and his eyes raked my body up and down before he kept eye contact with me. His face seemed to show that he was expecting something from me, like he wanted me to come to him and ... do something? He was my mate, I knew that, but I was getting confused, he knew me, and I knew him... and I can’t remember how. “Hello again Regina.” “You were not invited Jax.” I heard my brother Tyler growl out and I sucked in a breath and looked at them, and then at my mate before getting closer. “He is my mate.” I told the room, making sure my voice carried and I looked all around before looking back at... Jax. “That’s right.” He nodded and I felt more confused. “You knew before tonight?” “I knew you when we were younger. You were 10 when I was turning 18, I told them about us, and then they kicked me out of your life.” Jax looked at my brothers, my parents and I did too and took a moment to think about how this should be done... as I opened my mouth to say we were leaving and talking, Jax took my hand and pulled me in closer. “You’re all mine now Regina. They have no say in anything.” “I do... I want the truth.” “You’ll get my truth.” He pulled on me and pulled me from my siblings, and they seemed to do nothing as I looked back. It is not that I wanted help, but I wanted answers, and I felt dizzy and annoyed and I was also getting the happiness from my wolf to be with him... so I left, with him. The man I seemed to know but felt clueless about. My mate was Jax... and I finally found him. Again?
