Aaron folded his arms loosely, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. “I was planning to introduce you two later, but I suppose now is as good a time as any.”
The man immediately stood up straighter, brushing invisible dust off his palms as he composed himself in front of Raina.
“This is Jamie,” Aaron continued. “He’s been my family’s personal assistant for years, but due to certain circumstances, he was dismissed a while back.”
Jamie nodded respectfully at her, saying nothing.
Aaron added, “I brought him back—mainly for you. I won’t always be around, and eventually, you’re going to need someone to help with a lot of things. Jamie will be here for you… until the baby comes.”
