“She’s over there, the one in the green T-shirt,” Raina said, pointing at the young woman standing by the sidewalk. James glanced over and nodded before carefully pulling the car to a stop just a few feet ahead. The morning sun reflected off the windshield. Raina’s finger lingered in the air as she watched the woman walk toward them, Ariel. No matter how many times James tried to convince her that he had a solid eye for fashion, Raina simply couldn’t wrap her head around trusting him with something as delicate as selecting a dress. He might be great at security, driving, or handling intense situations, but fashion? That was an entirely different area... She had imagined herself in front of the boutique’s dressing mirror, stepping out in an outfit only to ask James for feedback? No way.
