Stables

Elizabeth and Jacob made their way through the grassy fields, "How much land do you own?" She asked, Looking around, she remembered the contact she had with James and Mason in the car when they told her about the land they owned and their plans to grow pumpkins, "Sorry that was rude, I shouldn't ask..." She said in embarrassment, "Don't worry about it, we have 160 acres, alot of the land is taken care of by our friend Freds son, and a few hard workers from the town who takes care of the crops, we have cows aswell, but my favourite part about all this land is there is plenty of space for the horse." Jacob responded modestly. He looked over to her and smiled. They had reached the stables, she took a deep breath and stood still, she looked over at Jacob, he could see she was nervous. "Take as much time as you need." He said softly. Elizabeth made her way to the big wooden structure. It was a work of art. The majority of the building was built from red wood, the grey slate A-line roof, and the white cladding harmonised it all together. There was a silver horse shoe above the entrance with writing on, but Elizabeth couldn't quite make out what it said. She entered the stables and there were two horses, the taller one was almost completely black, with a white diamond pattern on his head, the other was a light brown with a black mane and matching tail. "They are beautiful." Elizabeth gasped in awe, "The black one is named Bam, and the little brown one is Miss Daisy. Would you like to come on over and meet them?" Elizabeth was hesitant, but she was equally fascinated, Elizabeth took a step forward, "Start with Daisy, She is laid back, I taught Fred's boy to ride on her, Bam is a little bit jumpy around new people, heck he doesn't like most people." Jacob chuckled. Elizabeth stood at Daisy's gate, "Here, place the palm of your hand out flat." Jacob said. As he reached into his backpack and pulled out an apple, she did as she was told, and he placed the apple on her flat palm. he held his hand underneath hers and told her to keep it flat, Daisy took the apple gently, and Elizabeth turned to Jacob and smiled. Jacob lifted her hand with his and placed it on the side of Daisy's head and showed Elizabeth how to stroke her. "You're a natural." Jacob said wirh a smile. "Next step is to be in her paddock with her," He added. Elizabeth took a step back. She was reluctant to step inside the paddock, "I will come with you, take a deep breath and calm your nerves, they can sense when your nervous, the calmer you are the more at ease Daisy'll be" Jacob said. His Southend accent was very sexy. He seemed to be in his element, out with the horses with his cowboy hat and boots on. He really looked the part. Deciding to bite the bullet, Elizabeth took a deep breath and followed Jacob and Daisy to the paddock, He placed a saddle on her and began to put Daisy's bridle on her, "I thought you said we were going to take it slow!" Elizabeth called out. "Do you want to talk about this business going in between you and my brothers, or are you going to get your keister over here, Miss Daisy and I are happy either way." Jacob said with a smile. Elizabeth did not want to discuss the happenings between herself and his brothers, so she decided to make her way over to Jacob, who was all but certain which outcome she was going to favour. "Yes, mam," he said, softly clapping his hands with a warm smile in his face. She stood beside Jacob and Daisy, took a deep breath and then reluctantly made her way closer to the stirrups, "You place your left foot in there and I will lift you on up and then you are gonna lift your legs over and in to the other one okay." Jacob explained. Before she was able to process what Jacob had said, she felt him lift her up by her waist. She placed her feel exactly where she was supposed to, and before she knew it, she was sitting on Daisy, She held the reins, and Jacob began to walk Daisy round the edge of the paddock. "See, nothing to worry about." Jacob chuckled.
