The Lock brothers found Sundays to be particularly displeasing; the day that followed Sunday was no longer one of respite from their tedious routine, they knew that they would be returning to their unremarkable responsibilities. The Lock brothers were fortunate to be born into a wealthy family, but the three brothers had found a way to further increase their wealth. The Lock brothers were proud owners of incredibly successful businesses. Mason was the founder of a well-respected newspaper, James was the owner of an incredibly popular magazine, and Jacob oversaw the upkeep of their portfolio of properties. Despite the need to prepare for the upcoming days ahead, the three brothers tried to enjoy the remainder of their sunday, none the less.
Of course, the brothers could hire people to take care of the businesses, but they preferred to be hands on, this way, they could ensure everything was up to their incredibly high standards. The Lock family moved around alot, this was due to the fact that they're trapped in un-anging bodies. If they stayed in any place for too long, then people would begin to grow suspicious of their youthful looks. You may have heard of the term vampire, a word reserved for story books and campfire tales... But for these three brothers, it was their reality.
On this particular sunday, perched beneath a tall oak tree was a young man. Something was holding his gaze. He looked as though perhaps he was in admiration of the sunflower fields in the distance. Despite being August, the day was somewhat cold. The wind was crisp and forceful, encouraging the green and golden leaves upon the trees to dance, resulting in the serenade of rustling, much to his delight. A sweet smell of freshly baked pie passed his nose, which he openly welcomed.
Her clothes fell to the floor, his eyes drank up the view of her supple breasts, he stood up and placed his hands on her naked body moving strategically to her core, he gently parted her lips, she began to feel her warm c*m inviting his finger to slip inside. Her mouth opened, and she let out a moan of pleasure. He placed his tongue inside. She smiled as his tongue slowly made its way down her body. "Wait!" She called out.
The young man awoke. His eyes now searching for her, the young man realised it was all a dream, he smiled as he averted his gaze to the deep, fiery red sky, cascaded with clouds, and smoke from a nearby chimney, that he knew to be at the heart of a tired, unforgiving manor.
This is where the young man resided, he opened his book, much to his dismay a drop of water landed on the page, he looked up and felt another to the left of his forhead, and then another on his right cheek, the man stood up closing his book, he decided to make his way back home.
The young man entered the large, wooden arched door to be greeted with the sweet smell of lemon, smiling as he made his way through the kitchen, passing the stairs he arrived at another door, a generosly sized study, he sat at his deck and began to write...
'Flowers bloom in spring, just to die the following season, which perhaps could be seen as a dull concept, but for me, for a 300 year old vampire trapped in the body of a 25 year old man, I revel in the idea of impermanence, I look out of my window and see the leafs that slowly turn red, orange and brown, at the yellow petals that fall to the the base of the sunflowers, soon frost shall appear once more upon the panes of glass that act as a portal, letting in the beauty of the outside world from the comfort of my four walls."
The young man screwed the piece of paper up, throwing it across the room out of frustration. The room was warm, painted a deep red that grew darker as the night drew in. A ripe red apple was gently placed upon the desk by a smiley plump woman who looked to be in her late fifties. "Don't you forget that young lady will be here soon, you know the one you hired to replace me!" she chuckled, "No one could replace you, Elm, but you have earned your retirement, i don't know a single soul who works harder than you." he said. "I have left some notes for her to go over, she will run this place just the way you like it in no time dear, now, get that lamp on you are going to strain your eyes" she bellowed flashing a warm smile before leaving the now dark room.
Another person came through the door, as the young man flicked the lamp on, an older gentleman, with a long grey beard and a very big nose, he walked into the room and sat down on the wooden chair opposite. both men locked eyes and shook hands, both with welcoming smiles.
"We still on for Sunday?" Asked the gentleman in a thick northern accent. "Of course Fred, I wouldn't miss your wedding for the world." Replied the man. Fred gave a quick glance at the man's calander to see it was completely full, which was usual, but to his surprise, there was one day that had been left blank. "No plans for the 17th? Are you up for a game of golf?" Chuckled Fred. The man also chuckled, "Perhaps next month? Let me know which days are best for you, and I'll see what i can do, I can make time to win another game." the young man said. Fred nodded in agreement. "I look forward to it, I might invite Jacob." Fred stated.
"We could invite Turner?" The young man replied. "Oh, he hasn't been doing too well since the accident. He is improving, but I wouldn't want to set back his recovery." Fred replied. "Oh, I had completely forgotten. How is Maggie coping?" Asked the young man in a concerned tone, looking down as though in disbelief he had forgotten that his good friend was recovering from a fall that occurred a few weeks ago. "She hasn't been going out much. She has been staying in looking after him, I hear she has taken up baking." stated Fred. "In that case, I might have to fall off my roof too." The man lightly joked. "You wouldn't be able to find the time to climb up to the roof with that busy schedule of yours," chuckled Fred "Anyhow, I need to get back to my woman, but I'll be seeing you Sunday and don't you be wasting anymore of your precious time on that moter out there, you hear me, you and your brother should get someone in to sort it." Smiled Fred "Don't you worry, I am expecting Rusty to be down with a few parts in a few days he is going to lend a hand and she will be back on the road, "I wouldn't be so sure, he isn't as young as he use to be." fred replied. "Neither am I, Fred!" the young man said with a smile, " You are still a wee boy, you have many years before you can call yourself old!" The young man smiled. Yes, he appeared young, but he was hiding a secret. He was infact a three hundred year old vampire trapped in his 25 year old body. "I'll get out of your hair, take care, James. I'll see you boys Sunday. " Bellowed Fred.
As Fred left the room, the woman enteted it with a cup of tea. "Is that for me, Elm?" James asked. "Unfortunately not, you didn't ask for one, and I am not boiling that kettle again." She chuckled, setting down what seemed to be a book, before sitting down on a warm brown leather chair in the corner of the room.
"She arrived while Fred was here so I decided to show her to her room, she is making her self comfortable now, she said she will put her things away and will be down when she is done. I have let her know you are in here, you failed to mention she is very beautiful!" Elm said with a smirk. "I haven't met her, Jacob hired her... but I should have guessed he would hire someone he found attractive. I just hope she will be able to do the job even half as good as you have Elm." James said with a smile. Her cheeks grew red, rolling her eyes. "You take care, James." She said as she stood up, looked around one last time before closing the door and leaving.
The smell of lavander filled the room, moments before a knock on the door. "Hello, may i come in?" She said, her voice gentle and familiar. He looked up in disbelief.
