Elizabeth placed her hands on her knees. She was still reading the menu, and it was greatful that the waitress had looked at Mason to take his order first. " I will have the chicken goujons for my starter, the venison burger for my main and the lemon and lime cheesecake for dessert." Mason announced. James looked over at Elizabeth he could see she was nervous, "I recommend the baker feta with roasted chessnuts it has a hint of rosemary, this place makes a fantastic Hunters Chicken, and the chocolate brownie is my all time favourite, if you are chocolate lover it is the perfect dessert, I hear it pairs well with cola," James said playfully, winking at her. "That sounds good to me." Elizabeth replied nervously. "Make the two, I will be having the same." James said, closing the menu and handing it back to Kate, "Will that be all for now?" Kate asked. James nodded, Elizabeth made her way back to the kitchen to relay the order to the chef. "What would you usually order when you dine out?" Mason asked, "I don't usually dine out." Elizabeth replied, Mason wanted to show he was making an effort to get to know her, "Which countries have you travelled to?" Mason asked. Elizabeth looked out the large window, she wasn't sure how to answer the question, she was not well travelled at all, in fact she had never left th country. "None, I haven't really had the time nor finances to travel." She replied, looking down, feeling a little embarrassed. "Perhaps you would like to join me when I go to Bali next month? I think you would really like it there, I have a cabin there it is on the water front, and a yacht we can sail on, I had planned to go for the week but I can make it two so we have plenty of time to sight see." Mason chirped. He was trying his best to show her he could be nice and considerate like his brother, whom she seemed to be getting on really well with. "I am sure they would be lovely, but I don't actually have a passport, so I am going to have to respectfully decline your generous offer." Elizabeth replied. Mason looked at the clock and then at Elizabeth, "We will pick up an application form tomorrow and fill it out together, I am sure we will be able to pull a few strings and get it here in time, and I don't want to hear any excuses miss Grey, you would be doing me a favour, It will be much more fun with you there." Mason said with a smile. Elizabeth was unsure of how to respond she was conflicted, on the one hand, She know the trip would be am opportunity she would never be able to afford on her own, and on the other hand, she had no money of her own, she would be completely relying on Him for everything. " And i want to give you this, it is a credit card, it's under my name, i will take care of it, there isn't a limit, so you can get absoloutly anything you want without having to worry about the cost, from now on i want you to know you are going to be well looked after." Mason said. Elizabeth pushed the card back to him, she didn't want to take money from him, "I can't accept this Mason, I appreciate the offer but you emplyed me to take care of things at the manor and Jacob had already agreed to pay me far more than i had expected a job lole this to, I couldn't possibly accept a gift like that." She said. "Well in that case, you have earned a raise, putting up with us, it is the least we could do, if it was up to me we would scrap our contract, give you a card and you could buy anything you wanted and never have to worry about a budget again." James responded. She didn't want to but she knew that the. Rotherham would not take no as an option. She reluctantly accepted their offer. Just in time, the food was being brought to the table. Kate placed the first played down infont of Mason, then the second plate in front of James. Finally, she placed the last plate in front of Elizabeth. The food smelled amazing, Elizabeth picked up her knife and fork, she cut in to the warm gooey cheese and placed the piece I'm her mouth, the flavours of rosemary and chestnut danced on her tongue, she moaned from pleasure, she had never eaten anything like it. Mason placed his hand on her thigh. She turned to him, and he began to move his hand higher. Elizabeth felt nervous, she was worried someone would notice what he was doing, she placed her fork on to the table and her hand gently on top of his, hoping it would stop him from moving his hand any higher. James could see what his brother was doing, and he decided to lean forward getting close to Mason, "If you could wait until we are home I think Elizabeth would appreciate it, don't you agree brother." James said sternly, he wanted to make sure she was being respected, if anyone were to see what Mason was doing, he knew that it would be all anyone would talk about when she entered the room, and that wouldn't work for James, he was hoping that if she enjoyed the food it would become a place for the pair to go for regular dates. Mason removed his hand from her leg, as much as he didn't like being told what to do, he knew if he had carried on he would seem rather ungentlemanly, and his goal of seducing her would be set back even further. He knew he needed to be strategic. Elizabeth picked her fork back up and carried on eating, as did the brothers. Once they had finished, Kate came out with the masin courses. She set them all down and took away the starter plates. Elizabeth looked at her plate, there was alot on there, the portion size was generous, she wasn't sure she would be able tonfinish it all, and she was right, she managed to eat just over half before sitting up and letting out a deep breath, James looked over at her, he could tell she was full from the way she was sat, he called Kaye over and asked her to box the desserts up so they would be able to take them home. Kate brought out the three boxes of dessert and handed them to James, he stood up and pulled Elizabeth's chair out slightly, she stood up, walking to the door, Kaye held it open for them and waved them farewell, desperately hoping that one of the brothers would notice her, they did but in a polite way, they said thank you and then made their way back to James's car, Mason opened her door for her and helped her in, "What did you think?" James asked, "It was amazing. Thank you for inviting me, James." She beamed, he noded in acknowledgement, "I'm glad you enjoyed it." He responded, and with that, the three made their way back to the Manor, just as the sun began to set.
