After lunch, Silas and I headed to the training gym, but instead of diving straight into practice, he suggested a walk.
“Let me show you around the forest,” he said, his voice soft but filled with warmth. “I’ll take you to my happy place.”
I smiled, my heart fluttering at the thought. “I’d love that.”
We walked in comfortable silence, the peace and quiet of the forest wrapping around us like a warm blanket.
