Chapter 11: A trap.

“Wow, all this is made by hand?” Reiner nods, then showing a text.

Reiner, Monty and Jane looks at their phones, getting a text by the chancellor.

Monty looks at Jane, signalling him to stay.

“Mrs Hayes, the two of us need to go meet the Chancellor.” Mrs Hayes, nods as Monty and Reiner run out of the hall. Jane takes his seat at the row behind Kristina.

“Sierras. We’ve got a situation at Radford Mall. We got Serpents.” Monty and Reiner immediately run into the distance, whereby Reiner casts a spell.

“May the fairies lead me to my destination.” Reiner says as the two of them run into the portal. They jump through it, seeing the large snakes moving about in the streets.

“My name is Blaze Ashworth.”

“My name is Tristan Erath.” The two of them say, where Monty’s white hair takes over, with his crimson eyes, long white hair tied into a tail, wielding the two sickles. Reiner’s white hair pops out, giving him long hair that stops by his neck, rushing with his halberd into the serpents.

“They’re on the move!” Reiner shouts as he jumps with his halberd, throwing it to one of the Serpents. Whereby Black follows up with his strike, swinging the halberd down. Cutting the Serpent’s tail off, whereby Taurus jumps in with a longsword swinging it down to the Serpent’s head. The halberd is back in Reiner’s hands as he rushes to another Serpent, this time thrusting the top of the halberd into the Serpent, Reiner could feel the bone of the Serpent through the tip of his halberd. He runs off causing it to bleed out as well as having its insides opening.

“Take care of them, there. I’ll handle the ones her. Leo, Aries! Burn them!” To which Monty watches as Leo and Aries jump out with the flames in hand, jumping onto the Serpents burning them to a crisp.

“Is that all?” Reiner asks as he meets up with Monty at the square, seeing the civilians safe, it’s already a good sign, but… There is something else. Monty and Reiner could feel a demonic presence, of intense pressure. Monty turns to the rooftop, seeing a skeletal horse burning with black flames, a cavalry saber by the hip of what seems to be a cloaked figure. Despite the cloak, Monty could feel that the particular being or rather this demon is wearing armour of sorts but he could not see it.

“That’s one.. Then..” Reiner turns behind him, a white skinned being with full black eyes wielding a Japanese great sword called a Nodachi. The being wears a black tailcoat with no shirt on the inside, Reiner could see the muscular frame that this particular being has, with extremely long white hair that reaches to the floor.

“State your names, brave Pactmakers!” The rider of the horse calls out, Monty could see the horse’s burning black flames as its skeletal jaw neighs loudly.

“Easy, Plague. There’s no need to be hasty. The Pactmaker in red, your name?”

“Blaze Ashworth.”

“I see. I’m known as the Pale Rider, with my steed Plague. I’ve come to challenge you, brave Pactmakers as by the orders of Lord Raven and to kill you for thwarting his plans!”

“The one who carries the halberd! State to me, what is your name!” Reiner looks at the Nodachi wielding demon who smirks to him, shouldering the Nodachi with its sheathe.

“I serve Lord Raven for his endeavours. To find strong Pactmakers such as yourself, and to kill you.” The Nodachi wielder speaks.

“Tristan Erath.” Reiner answers, to which the Nodachi wielder smiles scratching his nose, to which he smiles broadly as he takes a step forward.

“I’m the Dragon, Altveria! Serving under Lord Raven. This shall be a good fight.” Reiner braces himself with Taurus’s longsword as Altveria rushes to him with the Nodachi unsheathed. Reiner feels the heavy force of Altveria’s attack, the power of a dragon is fearsome as advertised, Reiner could feel the intense strength overpowering him slowly.

“Not enough.” Reiner says as he pushes Altveria back, who recovers by swinging the sheathe of his large blade, Reiner ducks as he charges into Altveria, tackling him with a shoulder charge. Altveria is sent flying to the wall.

“Hehe.. A good hit.” Altveria shouts as he runs with the sword to Reiner. Their blades clash again, while Monty is trying to hold his own against Pale Rider.

“Hmm, there should have been 3 of you..” Pale Rider says as he has his blade by Monty’s scythe.

“Lord Raven will face your friend later..” Monty is already triggered, getting angry because Jane is going to face a Demon Lord will be harsh. Monty dodges the strike by Pale Rider, followed by preparing his scythe to strike Pale Rider.

“I doubt your friend can handle the Lord!” Pale Rider taunts Monty, whereby Monty’s scythe has Pale Rider by the shoulder. A mighty swing of it sends Pale Rider flying off his mighty steed which Monty dashes forward with a pair of Kukris striking Pale Rider to the wall.

“Reiner, you good?” Monty looks at Reiner who has his halberd at the ready, with Black and Taurus behind him.

“Yeah, I’m good. You?” Monty nods as he has his scythe, along with Red, Leo with his knives and Aries with the Kukri.

“Let’s hope Jane can handle it.”
