After the class ends, Jane carries Kristina out to of the class, whereby everyone is already staring. Some students taking photos, while Monty is standing by Scarlett, carrying her bag. Reiner on the other hand is standing behind Lizzie. The way he stands, the crowd looks at how the three delinquents are standing differently. Reiner’s buzzcut seems to have grown a bit more but it is neat and tidy, yet not as short as his usual haircut. ‘This post is so going to the confession page.’ Jane thinks as he walks away with Kristina in his arms. Monty does not seem to care as he walks with Scarlett, who seems a little shy with Monty. All that had just occurred, is already mind boggling and tiring. The day goes on by with ease. Chancellor Marcus is standing by the highest level of the library building. Standing on the tip of the pole. Then hearing a noise, whereby he looks at the footsteps which is a beautiful brunette woman, svelte body, she had fair skin and her eyes spark with radiance. The bareback dress which is accompanying by showing a little bit of her cleavage. “You look lonely, my bride.” Marcus tells her as he appears before her, kneeling as he holds her hand. The woman smiles to him, as her hair tied into a small bun by her back, accompanied by a lovely clip that holds it together. “You look as wonderful as ever my beautiful Belle.” To which Marcus kisses her hand as a response, smiling gracefully to her as he stands up. She guides Marcus’s hands to her waist, then resting her hands by his shoulder. “Oh my Beast, please just call me by the name that you’ve always called.” The woman giggles as she leans closer to his face, breathing out closely to Marcus’s neck. “If that is what you wish, my beautiful Matilda.” Matilda leans into Marcus, her heads resting by his chest as they slow danced beneath this moonlight. “It’s funny, when they say vampires do not have hearts.” Matilda captures Marcus’s attention as his head tilts to her direction, his chin right above her forehead as his hands wrap around her back. “Yet, I can hear yours as clear as you can hear mine.” “It is a privilege only to the partner of the Vampire Noble. After all.” Marcus shows her the Midnight Dreamer novel that she had written. “Sometimes, I wish I could let our kids know, that is how our love story begins. 18 years ago, a 16 year old girl just stands out of a school prom.” “Then a young vampire prince who wished to rebel against his own kingdom.” The two of them smile at each other with love in their eyes,Matilda and Marcus leans close to each other, their nose making contact with the smiles on their faces. “How do you feel knowing that you’re the bride of the Vampire King?” Matilda smiles as she kisses his lips, and hugs him tightly. “Not regretting anything. I know, that there may be a time when I may die first, but..” Marcus shushes her, as he kisses Matilda’s lips. “I may live forever, but my love for you will stay. Till the end of time. I will not turn you into a vampire, for you are a human who has chosen to love a creature of a night.” Marcus tells her, whereby Matilda leans to his chest. “The world is turning, it may get scarier. It will be worse than what we’ve done for our marriage. I’m scared for my son. For Lincoln.” Matilda shakes her head, rubbing deeply into Marcus’s chest, hugging him tightly. “A war may break out, so when that time comes. Please, go to my family. I’ve told my parents. They will accept you with open arms.” “But..” “They will, I’ve promised my dad, I’ve fought him for your hand in marriage. He will respect that, and my mother. She is slowly taking a liking to you, as you warmly greet her during her visits.” Matilda sighs, as she leans to his chest. “Can time stop in this moment? Where this feeling of ecstasy.. From your warmth will stay with me for the night?” “If I could stop time forever, then I would do so but stopping time. Will not change anything as the future must be fought for. Should fate ever separate us, should fate ever take your life. I promise you, that if you are reborn, I will find you, along with Lincoln. Lincoln’s young, but he is brave and I’ve taught him to protect you. I’ve asked Andrea to protect you in my absence, he will be by your side.” Marcus tells her, as he tightens his hug. “Vampires are cold, we do not give warmth. If there is warmth, then it is from your human body. My love. I am petrified. Terrified beyond words of any measure. For I would give everything away, for your safety and Lincoln’s.” Matilda, kisses Marcus’s cheeks. “I will follow your order, my beloved King.” Marcus smiles to her, his eyes looking sad but taking Matilda’s hand, kissing it. Marcus places it by his cheeks, feeling the warmth of her hands. “Thank you, and I will miss you. I will always be thinking of you beneath this moon to when we first met all those years ago. Even during the rain, I will remember your tears as you confessed your love. When the sun is in the sky, I will think of the times when I held your hand. When the snow falls, I will remember that night when we enjoyed each other’s company.” Marcus tells her sadly, his voice slowly breaking, his eyes turning red. “It’s funny, when Dracula himself is slowly crying because of something he may not control. Something that I still do not understand until this day, but this love. This love is the only thing that makes sense to me, and as long as I love you, I will fight for you, I will honour your memory and your love shall be with me. In my heart, that may not beat as yours. But it will beat for you.” Marcus tells her as he kneels before her. “Do you remember?” Matilda nods as she cries with a smile on her face. Seeing Marcus pulling out a box, opening it to reveal a rose gold locket. Marcus opens it, Matilda gasps as her hands cover her mouth. A photo of Marcus with his long white hair as the Vampiric Prince, with Matilda being in her youthful age of 16. “Until the day comes for our separation, I’ll promise to make the upcoming days to be as beautiful and as memorable as I can make of it. For Valentine’s Day, I’d like to invite you to my university. The students are going to have a Valentine’s Day dinner and I’d like to spend it with you.” “That would be lovely.” Matilda answers, to which Marcus stands up putting the locket around Matilda’s neck. Her eyes looking into Marcus’s who is slowly putting it on her neck, tracing his fingers across her skin as Matilda smiles to him comfortably. The two of them hold each other tightly, with the moon lighting the midnight sky, the stars being beautiful fireflies that are beyond their reach, a harmonious breeze that accompanies it. This harmonious setting, a peaceful day where no blood is being shed openly in the streets, it is days like this when Marcus. A vampire, experiences what humans would call as the emotion of being grateful. Grateful and ironically blessed. As a pure blood vampire, Marcus is immune to the scriptures or weapons for normal vampires, but he is not invulnerable. He may be killed but only if enough damage is sustained to break his very mental capacity. The grateful feeling of having a loved one in your arms, it is unimaginable as the comfort it brings, can mend the pieces of a broken hearted man, being, beast or whatever it is to be whole. ‘Hug someone so tight, that their broken pieces will be made whole once more.’ Marcus thinks as he realizes that this phrase, which is commonly uttered by humans has some meaning to it. As he remembers how those many years ago, when Matilda hugged him tightly as she did now. The broken Vampire Prince who had been rebelling against his father’s wishes to kill humans. The painful emotion of breaking down as you have to defy your own country for the fact that you refuse to kill those who have no order or as any business within their jurisdiction. The two of them end the night in each other’s arms, before returning home to enjoy each other’s company.
