Her Future

Chapter Seven

Milly had come over the next day frantic about what to wear to maybe catch the eye of Deans oldest brother, so they had decided to just go shopping for an outfit for later tonight. They stopped at the only clothing store there was there, and started to look around.

While Milly was looking through a rack of jeans and dress up shirts, October spotted a nice black evening dress, it wasnt flashy or a ball gown it was a simple half long sleeved dress with lace around the shoulders and neck and breast area, it had a sweetheart neck line that the lace covered up a little to make it look as if to tease the man you would buy it for. However October knew there was no man to wear it for she simply bought it for herself with little hopes that it would get back at Dean for what he had did, knowing that at this moment he couldnt have what he said he had wanted to start with.

Grabbing the dress in her size she also found some lace up sandals to go with it and headed over to were Milly was. She had decided on some skin tight jeans that looked good on her and not overly tight and a silky dress shirt that was forest green and had white designs on it, the neck line dipped to a V at the breast area exposing some cleavage that would surely get any mans attention if she wore it.

After they paid for the cloths they decided to go and have lunch, the bar didnt open untll the evenings on the weekend because nobody came in before 10 pm from friday to sunday, those were the party nights the kitchen would be closed and most tables removed for dancing. October was pretty excited to listen to a live band, something she hadnt done in her life, another first for her. A part of her wondered if the stripper would be there tonight as well and she hopped she wouldnt be, she didnt quite understand why Dean spent time with her or why he had chose to take her back, he didnt seem like he was all that into it and doing it just for duty, she couldnt fault the man for being a good man in that area, really the only thing she could fault him for is the way he had handled her when this happened, she could be friends with him but she didnt know if she wanted to ever be more than that with him again.

The two woman hung out for most of the day until it was time for Milly to head home and get ready for work, it sucked that she in fact had to work tonight instead of sitting with her and listening to the music or dancing with her, but October knew it would be ok she wouldnt be completely alone tonight with her working just alone at the table.

"Now Percy." she said to her dog as he sat and watched her with loving eyes. "You have to be a good boy and stay here to night, " he wines, "No dont cry i will only be gone for a few hours, no tearing up the house or you'll have to sleep on the porch." she said to him, he crept up and licked her hand making her laugh and pet him. "Its time for me to get ready boy." she said and kissed his massively growing head. they werent kidding when they said he was going to get big, she left down a bowl food and water for him and turned on the TV so he had some noise and wouldnt be to lonely.

About an hour later showered dressed with make up and her hair curled and falling down her back she slowly made her way to the bar it was about 930 at the moment she knew the bar opened at 8 and the band didnt start until 10 so she was a bit early but maybe she would find a good table. As she walked up to the double doors that were open to regulate temps in the bar she took a deep breath, here it goes she thought and walked in.

There wasnt very many people yet which made her happy she saw a man sitting at the bar talking and laughing with Dean and Milly and she walked up to them, "Hey Milly." she said with a smile. Dean had stopped laughing the moment he spot her walking up, mouth open eyes wide he just stared at her.

Milly laughed and rolled her eyes at him, "For gods sake Dean put that tongue back in your damn head." she said and walked around to give October a hug, "Damn girl look at you." she said standing back holding Octobers shoulders looking her up and down. "LOOKING GOOD LADY!" she hollered making October blush and smile.

"Well thank you." she said.

"Hey come with me outside quick i have to talk to you." Milly said grabbing her arm and dragging her.

"Woa you look good too look at those boobs!" i said to her laughing with her as she looked down.

"I know right. think he'll like em'" she asked her friend.

"Well i do know i seen him glancing at you when i walked in as in glancing at those t**s, but if he doesnt do something about it he is an idiot." October said back.

"Thats why i love you girl." she said with a smile. "Now, i have to tell you. Ok so i guess Dean and Ez got into it bad that night after you left and she told him to stop paying attention to you or she would leave him again and not come back." she told October.

Octobers eyes just got a little flat, "And why did he say to her?" she asked

"Well i guess he told her to leave because you were a friend and he wasnt going to give that up so she packed up and left after breaking a few of  his house windows." she told her laughing.

October blinked at her friend a little suprised. "Well,... wow...that didnt last long." she replied.

Milly just stared at her, "Tobie! did you hear what i said, he chose you over the stripper." she said excited.

There was once thing Milly didnt understand about October when it came to her feelings, she had been put through so much and she didnt want to go through it again, so she sighed and with a heavy heart she looked at her friend and said, "I dont think i can care Milly," she said looking at a shocked face, "I like him dont get me wrong and the feelings he gives me are nothing i have ever felt before, but what he did wasnt ok. player or not, i wont talk bad about him because he is a friend and he is like your brother, but i came here to change my life not repeat the same shit." she said with a shrug.

Milly finally understood. "He hurt you didnt he? not Dean but the man who made you this way."

October sighed again, "It wasnt just him Milly, yes he hurt me more than a man should hurt a woman and sometime ill tell you about it when im comfortable enough to do so, but it was my family also always letting me down, i was the oops child and they made it a point to let me know it daily and to let me know i am a disapointment to them. They even told me if i came here to do what i loved then i mine as well never go home again." she said to her friend.

Milly got pissed, "Thats bullshit Tobie, they dont need you and you dont need a man. c'mon enough of this talk lets go listen to music, i saved you a seat at a round table." she said with a smile.

October laughed and followed her, ordering a beer she waited while Milly went to fetch it, catching Deans stare again, she looked away, not wanting to be caught in those eyes. Milly seen him staring and walked up to him, "You f****d up pal." she said in a soft voice.

Dean looked at his best friend, "What are you talking about?" he asked.

"With Tobie, she just told me a little about her past, and let me tell ya Ez may be gone now and suposidly for good, but that woman is going to need to take alot of convincing to get to her the way you were before you f****d up." she stated and took October her beer.

"Woah dude, what the hell?" James asked his baby brother.

Dean shook his head. "Guess i have alot to work on." he said to his brother, while looking at the woman who made his breath catch when she walked in, he couldnt help it the woman turned him on, made him think twice about his life choices, he should have never taken Ez back. He should have stayed persuing October, the feelings he had when she was around or she would finally talk to him was something so new to him and he might have just freaked out a little when he had kissed her, then Ez showed up, he hadnt made love to her the whole time they were back together, not being able to get October out of his head, he was working on a way to finally end things with her when she had gotten jellouse and pissy and left him. he couldnt say he was broken up about it, it was like a fresh breath of air not having her around anymore.

But now he was stuck with the fact that he might have blown it with the woman who haunted his dreams everynight, the woman he wondered about if she was thinking of him too. He mentally slapped himself when he realized what he possibly lost, he would try to make it up to her he told himself, anyway he could think of, he would make it up to her.

He wasnt sure if it would be a future but he knew he had to have her, he would do what he could to make her see she had to have him as well. When the music started she smiled and paid her full attention to Goo GOO Dolls band, he noticed her mouth moving a little and smiled at the fact she liked this band.

A few hours later and the bar was packed with drunk people cheap perfume and the smell of smoke from cigarets. Milly was running around franticly and James had offered to help out at the bar so that Dean could help Milly. October just laughed when ever she saw Milly walking up to a table looking panicked or when she would send her a crazy face. Her main focus was trying not to stare at the man with the grey eyes, who seemed to not be able to take his eyes off of her.

So he was single now, she thought to herself, after having a few beers she was a little tipsy but she knew when to slow down and started to it was now 12:30 am and the band was on their last song, the crowd slowly started to leave, and the bar became a little less hectic. 

After the last song the band thanked everyone and packed up to leave, James had ended up talking with Milly for a little while off and on that night smiling at her as she made jokes and walked away to entertain some drunk old men through out the night, October could tell he for sure liked her but he, just like October was a little cautious about going into something along those lines, he had introduced himself to October as the night went on and said good bye to her as he left, also telling her to take it easy on his i***t brother which made her laugh but also shake her head at him.

Finally October was ready to leave, she was tired and wanted a shower and her bed with her windows open to let in the breeze. So she walked up to her new best friend, "Hey Milly im going to head home." she told her.

Milly frowned a little but said, "Ok love be safe ill stop by tomorrow well have some beach time." she said with a wink.

October laughed and waved goodbye and walked out, slowly making her way back home, she screeched when she heard running coming up fast behind her, and she turned throwing her hands up infront of her face. "Woa October its just me,,,Dean," he said so softly.

Her heart rate went down after that and she felt like an i***t, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. "Oh god, im sorry, you just startled me alittle."

He looked her in the face, she was telling the truth but also lieing about something, he could tell as her eyes darted when she said the last part. "I'm sorry, i was just coming to walk you home." he said to her.

She blinked at him, "Oh...well...alright." she stated then turned around and started to walk again.

They walked in silence to her front porch, she opened the door to let Percy out to pee, he greeted Dean like he was an old friend, "Hey buddy." Dean said patting his fur.

After he was done October and Dean just stared at each other for awhile then Dean said, "I'm sorry for what i did October, i cant seem to express how sorry i am, but im sure not going to be sorry about this." he said and before she could open her mouth his was on her.

His lips were so soft and fit to hers so damn well with that and the surprise of his actions had her hands flying to his arms to hold her steady as he kissed her, he licked her lips asking for her to open up, when he did her mind went blank she threw her arms around his neck and dove in the kiss with him.

Fuck she taste so good, he thought to himself as he deepened the kiss, pulling her closer to him so she could feel his hard on through his jeans. This was the affect she had on him he swore he had this hard on all night after she walked in. He just couldnt get enough of her full lips locked on to his, the more he kissed her the more he sank deeper, with his heart beating to jump out of his chest and down to her feet he didnt want to break away.

Something wasnt right, but god this was so right, she thought to herself, she could feel his hard on in his pants and her need matched his, she wanted him and the more he kissed her the more she wanted, and it was that want that almost drove her to almost leap into his arms, if it wasnt for Percy whining and shoving his head between them, it would have led to that.

And as if someone had flashed a light on them she jumped out of his arms and stepped back breathing hard staring at him as if he had slapped her.

He was confused to say the least, letting his hands fall to his side he just stared at her shocked face and her swollen lips as he breathed hard seeing her chest rise and fall almost undid him with a groan he tried to pull her back for more, but she moved out of his reach, he looked at her with is brows drawn together, "Percy go inside." she said to the dog and pointed her finger inside the door. he did as he was told and went strait to the bedroom and flopped on the bed, October then looked back at Dean not knowing what to say.

"October..." he started.

"Dont, Dean." she replied. "That shouldnt have happend." she said to him.

"Why the hell not?" he asked her, a little peeved.

"Because you just got out of a relationship, you shouldnt jump on another woman so fast and i am not a f*****g toy for you to play with." she said getting mad. "Whats going to happen now Dean? are you going to ghost me again and find another ex to get with?" she asked.

That comment kind of pissed him off, "No I'm not damn it i just want you." he said to her.

"Well i dont know if im available." she said timidly a little scared of the pissed off look on his face stepping back more.

He sighed calming himself because he had noticed what she just did he had seen how scared she got when he had that little outburst, "I only want you October and i will show you anyway you want me to show you so you know that, and i wont be hitting you either, never will that happen when i raise my voice or get mad, i dont hit women and im sorry you had to go through that." he said to her.

October felt a tear slide down her face, "I never said-..." she started.

"You didnt have to it is written on your face a bit ago. i wont hurt you." he said stepping closer to her.

"I dont believe you." she said and she started to breath faster.

"I dont care ill keep telling you everyday." he said pulling her towards him. He leaned down again and gave her the sweetest and softest kiss, letting it get slowly deeper so she new he ment it. then he pulled away and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Think about it alright? i wont press you, but i want to kiss you. as much as i possibly can." he told her pecking her lips again.

"I have to go inside." she said to him looking up in his eyes.

"One thing." he said before he let her go. "Will you have a date with me?" he asked her surprising even himself with the question.

"I-I suppose so." she said.

"Tomorrow 8 pm ill come and pic you up." he said kissing her sweetly again.

"Dean." she sighed on his lips.

"I know, go to bed little one, ill see you tomorrow." he said with a smile and waited untill she got inside and locked the door before he left to help close up the bar.
