Meeting him

I got to the table to meet a man in his late twenties ,he was on a black pant with v neck sweater,he had a clean haircut with a well trimmed beards ,he was putting on dark shades as well ,there was just something about him I really couldn't place my hands on at the moment .

Good evening sir , welcome to Dfancy restaurant,we have varieties of food and drinks you can order from ,my name is Zita and am here to take your order ,I said with my head slightly bowed .

It took him a minute to look up and when he did ,he stared at me for sometime without saying anything , for the first time in a long while I felt uneasy just from the way he was staring at me .

Sir??, I said again, but this time I summoned the courage to look him straight in the eye .He hesitated for a moment and in a cold tone whispered coffee ,I will have just coffee . I was confused for a second ,I mean the voice and what he ordered for ,I mean it wasn't what I expected from someone like him but then that was what he wanted right so I hurried back to Anna because it was almost closing time and I needed to get home fast so I can make dinner for my siblings since mum will still be at work .

What took you so long zits ,or was it love at first sight huh ,Anna said with smiles . Common girl you are just so impossible ,I mean love at first sight really?? ,I need you to place an order for a cup of coffee for your crush because I know you are already daydreaming about him now.

Whatever you say girl ,at least am not doing anything illegal here but seriously zits when are you ever going to give love a chance huh ,I mean you are not a kid anymore right , you are 22,an adult for Christ sake , you know sometimes I wonder if you are human at all.

Think whatever you want to Ann ,I am not just ready to do any sort of commitments now or be in any relationship now , I have my siblings and mum to take care of you know

I replied going into the kitchen to get the coffee for my mysterious customer .

I grabbed the hot coffee and headed over to his table ,here is your coffee sir I said while dropping it on his table ,he only nodded , reached into his pockets brought out his wallet and said how much ,5000 I whispered still wondering if he wouldn't have a taste of his coffee since it was already getting cold .

He removed some money from his wallet and dropped it on the table stood up , muttered an inaudible thank you and before I could say jack he stepped outside the door and blended with darkness .

I picked up the money he dropped, I counted it and it was twice the money I told him ,I just couldn't process everything that happened .

I mean why would he order for something only to leave without taking it and also dropping extra cash .

I was already tired so I picked up the tray , dropped it with Anna , squeezed 5000 into her hand , put the other one into my bag resolving to give it back to him the next time I see him.

I waved at Anna , picked my bag and left for home
