Aliana caught the last bus back to the Harriman's home.
The sky became darker.
Luke was already waiting at the door.
This time, he was really anxious.
Today was utterly different from usual. Aliana was over an hour late!
"Why isn't Ms. Aliana back yet?"
Luke muttered.
Just as he was about to enter the room to tell Hugh and Jazmine about this, Aliana's figure slowly appeared in the distance.
"Ms. Aliana? Ms. Aliana!"
Luke came forward with a happy smile and quickly took the bag in Aliana's hands.
"Ms. Aliana, why are you so late today? Did your teacher keep you back?"
"No, Luke. My classmates wanted to 'chat with me', so I missed the last usual bus and came back late."
Luke breathed a sigh of relief.
Ms. Aliana, you must be starving. Come in, and I'll get you dinner."
